delivered, for 500 tons (more or less as may be needed) for Bulk Salt for
Snow and Ice Control for the Southold Town Highway Department, for the
period of November 1, 1998 through November 1, 1999, all in accordance
with the bid specifications.

HELD ON OCTOBER 27. 1998:
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes
and directs the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for the purchase of five
hundred (500) tons of Bulk Ice Control Rock Salt for the Highway
Department, for the period November 1, 1998 through November 1, 1999.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance with the provisions of
Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, that sealed bids are sought and
irequested for the purchase of 500 Tons (more or less as may be needed) of
BULK SALT (mineral crushed rock) for Snow and Ice Control for the
il~tighwa¥ Department, for the period of November 1, 1998 through November
Salt must be delivered to the Highway Department yard, Peconic Lane,
)econlc, New York, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M., Monday
;brough Friday, excluding holidays, with prior notification to the Highway
)epartment (516 73~-5211 or 516 765-3140).
The sealed bids, together with a Non-Collusive Bid Certificate and bank
draft or certified check in the amount of $100.00, will be received by the
-own Clerk of the Town of Southold, at the 5outhold Town Hall, 53095 Main
Road, Southold, New York, until 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 5, 1998,
at which time they will be opened and read aloud in public. The Town Board
of the Town of Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids and
waive any and all informalities in any bid should it be deemed in the best
interest of the Town of 5outhold to do so.
All bids must be signed and sealed in envelopes plainly marked "Bid on
Bulk Salt", and submitted to the Office of the Town Clerk. The bid price
,shall not include any tax, federal, state, or local, from which the Town of
Southold is exempt.
