Sealed bids, together with a Non-Collusive Bid Certificate, and bank draft or
certified check in the amount of $100.00, will be received by the Town Clerk at the
Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York, until 10:00 A.M.,
Thursday, November 9, 2000, at which time they will be opened and read aloud in
public. The Town Board of the Town of Southold reserves the right to reject any and all

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2001
Under these specifications the Town Of Southold seek bids for the purchase of
all of its gasoline requirements for the 2001 year for all town departments.
The Police Department maintains a 2,500 gallon capacity tank at the Police
Headquarters at Peconic, New York and uses approximately 70,000 gallons of unleaded
gasoline annually.
The Highway Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded gasoline,
and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks are located at the Highway
Department premises at Peconic Lane, Peconic, New York. The Highway Department
uses approximately 12,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline annually, and approximately
24,000 gallons of unleaded plus gasoline annually.
In subnfitting bids, the bidder must submit Tosco Price posted daily.
Vendor receiving the award must check tanks twice weekly and fill as necessary.
The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the town within four
{4) hours of a request for a delivery from any town official, and such bidder will be
required to make deliveries on any day of the week, including holidays and shall make
deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may be required.
Rouline deliveries to the Highway Department must be made between the hours
of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Monday through Friday. No deliveries are to be made on
weekends or holidays unless an emergency call is made by The Highway Department. All
gas tickets for deliveries to the Highway Department must be signed by a Highway
Employee.
Vendor receiving award must supply service for any and all repairs or
replacements on town owned pumps within four (4) hours.
Bid prices are not to include any federal, state, or local tax, from which the Town
Of Southold is exempt.
The Town Of Southold reserves the right to reject any and, all bids if it is deemed
in the best interest of the Town Of Southold to do so.
Bids must include a non-collusive bid certificate, and be signed and sealed in
