SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2001 Under these specifications the Town Of Southold seek bids for the purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 2001 year for all town departments. The Police Department maintains a 2,500 gallon capacity tank at the Police Headquarters at Peconic, New York and uses approximately 70,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline annually. The Highway Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded gasoline, and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks are located at the Highway Department premises at Peconic Lane, Peconic, New York. The Highway Department uses approximately 12,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline annually, and approximately 24,000 gallons of unleaded plus gasoline annually. In subnfitting bids, the bidder must submit Tosco Price posted daily. Vendor receiving the award must check tanks twice weekly and fill as necessary. The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the town within four {4) hours of a request for a delivery from any town official, and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the week, including holidays and shall make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may be required. Rouline deliveries to the Highway Department must be made between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Monday through Friday.
