1996, accepted the bid of Burt's Reliable Inc. in the amount of $.05 over
the rack price for supplying the Town with Heating Fuel Oil for Calendar
Year 1997. They accepted the bids of All American Fuel Co. in the amount
of $.0493 per gallon over the rack price for supplying the Town with Diesel
Fuel for Calendar Year 1997, and $.0693 over the rack price for supplying
the Town with Gasoline for Calendar Year 1997.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
FOR CALENDAR YEAR lg97
UndE~r these specifications, the Town of 5outhold seeks bids for the
purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1.rig7 calendar year for
all Town II;)epartments.
The Police Department maintains e 2,500 gallon capacity tank at the
Police Headquarters at Peconlc, New York, and uses approximately 70,000
gallons of unleaded gasoline annually.
The Highway Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded
gasoline, and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks
are located at the Highway Department premises at Peconic Lane, Peconic,
New Yorh. The Highway Department uses approximately 12,000 gallons of
unleased gasoline annually, and approximately 2%000 gallons of unleaded
plus gasoline annually.
In submitting b{ds, the bidder must either submit a fixed price per
gallon to be chaFged throughout the te~m of the contract, or a price which
is based on a rack price at the bidder's source of supply. If a rack price
is used, [he lowest ~ack price within five (5) days of each delivery to the
Town mu~st be used. Verification of the rack price used by the bidder
must be supplied by the bidder to the Town upon request.
Vendor receiving the sward must check tanks twice weekly and fill
as necess~apy.
The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town
within four (q) bouts of a request for a delivery from any Town Official,
and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the
week, make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may
be requir ~d.
Vendor receiving award must supply service for any and all repairs
or repla~{~ments on Town owned pumps.
Bid prices are not to include any federal, state, or local tax, from
which the Town of Southold is exempt.
The Town of Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids
if it is deemed In the best interest of the Town of Southold to do

GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOI_D
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1997
Under these specifications, the Town of Southold seeks bids for the
purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1997 calendar year for
all Town Departments.
The Police Department maintains a 2,500 gallon capacity tank at the
Police Headquarters at Peconic, New York, and uses approximately 70,000
gallons of unleaded gasoline annually.
The Highway Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded
gasoline, and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks
