The Police Department maintains e 2,500 gallon capacity tank at the Police Headquarters at Peconlc, New York, and uses approximately 70,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline annually. The Highway Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded gasoline, and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks are located at the Highway Department premises at Peconic Lane, Peconic, New Yorh. The Highway Department uses approximately 12,000 gallons of unleased gasoline annually, and approximately 2%000 gallons of unleaded plus gasoline annually. In submitting b{ds, the bidder must either submit a fixed price per gallon to be chaFged throughout the te~m of the contract, or a price which is based on a rack price at the bidder's source of supply. If a rack price is used, [he lowest ~ack price within five (5) days of each delivery to the Town mu~st be used. Verification of the rack price used by the bidder must be supplied by the bidder to the Town upon request. Vendor receiving the sward must check tanks twice weekly and fill as necess~apy. The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town within four (q) bouts of a request for a delivery from any Town Official, and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the week, make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may be requir ~d.
