Intent It is the intent of this document to describe the refurbishment of a Town owned International cab/chassis and to retrofit same complete with Swenson Model APB combination Dump Body/ Material Spreader and Component Technology Kydraulic System. The dump Body underside shall he coated in Noxyde rust preventive abrasion resistant coating. Chassis shall Be coated in ZieBart Rust Proof. The successful bidder shall deliver back to the Town of Southold the unit in complete working order, which meets or exceeds the various specifications and requirements described herein. All components in this system shall Be of domestic manufacture. In addition, the items listed below shall be considered as part and parcel to the Bid and the property of the Town of $outhold. 1. Specifications - for the purpose of evaluation each vendor shall at the time of the bi~ submit two (2) copies of the technical description of components he/she proposes to furnish. Said representations should be sufficiently detailed so as to address this Bid on an item By item Basis. Specifications submitted by vendors shall Be instrumental in substantiating compliance with this hid. 2. Brochures - for the purpose of evaluation each vendor shall at the time of the bid submit two (~] copies of manufacturers color brochures depicting current production model, By means of photograph, of the unit and components he/she proposes to furnish. (Xerox, Fax copy, or Artist sketch not acceptable.) Brochures should be sufficiently details so as to clearly illustrate general arrangement and fabrication of the chassis, dump Body, hoist, snowplow hitch, hydraulic ~ystem, coating system, and tarp system. 3. Coating Samples for the purpose of evaluation each vendor shall at the time of the Bid submit both wet and dry sample of the rust preventive, abrasion resistant coating he/she proposes to furnish, All vendors shall be obliged to respond to each item of this specification in the compliance column provided for this purpose Submission of detailed specification shall not Be construed as fulfillment of the item by item response requirement Failure on the par% of any bidder to comply with each of the aforementioned mandatory requirements, may result in the rejection of his or her 3 In the event an alternate combination dump body/spreader and or hydraulic system is hid, the Town reserves the right to request a demonstration within 10 days of notification. Demonstration will be conducted within the Town of Southold, free of charge. Failure on the part of any vendor to comply with request for demonstration may result in disqualification of his/her bid. Scope of Work Shall consist of all repairs structural and cosmetic required to restore the existin~ chassis/cab to a condition acceptable for the application of paint. Before finish paint is applied, the entire cab shall be properl? cleaned, prepared and given (1) coat of a suitable primer. Intent It is the intent of this document to describe the refurbishment of a Town owned International cab/chassis and to retrofit same complete with Swenson Model APB combination Dump Body/ Material Spreader and Component Technology Hydraulic System. The dump body underside shall be coated in Noxyde rust preventive abrasion resistant coating. Chassis shall be coated in Ziebart Rust Proof. The successful Bidder shall deliver back to the Town of Southold the unit in complete working order, which meets or exceeds the various specifications and requirements described herein. All components in this system shall be of domestic manufacture. In addition, the items listed below shall be considered as part and parcel to the bid and the property .of the Town of $outhold. 1. Specifications - for the purpose of evaluation each vendor shall at the time of the bi~ submit two (2) copies of the technical description of components he/she proposes to furnish. Said representations should be sufficiently detailed so as to address this bid on an item by item basis. Specifications submitted by vendors shall be instrumental in substantiating compliance with this bid. 2. Brochures - for the purpose of evaluation each vendor shall at the time of the bid submit two (2) copies of manufacturers color brochure~ depicting current production model, by means of photograph, of the unit and components he/she proposes to furnish. (Xerox, Fax copy, or Artist sketch act acceptable.) Brochures should be sufficiently details so as to clearly illustrate general arrangement and fabrication of the chassis, dump body, hoist, snowplow hitch, hydraulic system, coating system, and tarp system. 3. Coating Samples - for the purpose of evaluation each vendor shall at the time of the bid submit both wet and dry sample of the rust preventive, abrasion resistant coating he/she proposes to furnish. All vendors shall be obliged to respond to each item of this specification in the compliance column provided for this purpose Submission of detailed specification shall not be con~trued as fulfillment of the item by item response requirement Failure on the part of any bidder to comply with each of the aforementioned mandatory requirements, may result in the rejection of bls or her bid. 3 In the event an alternate combination dump body/spreader and or hydraulic system is hid, the Town reserves the right to request a demonstration within 10 days of notification. Demonstration will be conducted within the Town of Southold, free ~f charge. Failure on the part of any vendor to comply with request for demonstration may result in disqualification of his/her hid. Delivery may he a faotor of prime importance in the award of this bid. Vendors must state best guaranteed delivery date in days. Failure to do so may result in disqualification of bid. 4 Scope of Work Shall consist of all repairs structural and cosmetic required to restore the existing chassis/cab to a condition acceptable for the application of paint. Before finish paint is applied, the entire cab shall be properly cleaned, prepared and given (1) coat of a suitable primer.
