37-acre parcel purchase with tho County of Strffolk provides trails, parking area for
passive recreation. .

Beach access to Long Island Sound. A small waterfront parcel adjoina this mad-end
access site.
Clarks Beach, Greenoort 40-2-1
1.1-acrewaterfront parcel adjoining Inlet PondPmk (Suffolk County). This site provides
a vista of Long Island Sound.
Norman Klioo Park, Greenoort 43-2-7 & 43-5-16
3.5-acre waterfront park, with resixooms, playground, with picnic tables, boatqaunching
ramp. A lifeguard is on duty during the s. ummer.
Arshamomaque Preserve, Southold 45-1-9
The Levin property is a 51-acre parcel purchase with the County of Suffolk; a
management plan is being developed for a passive recreation use.

Southold Promotion Building, with picnic tables. A small pond will be constructed on
site during 2003.
Hummel Pond Preserve, Southold 50-6-4, 5.7, 5.11
7-acre parcel, with small freshwater pond used for fishing and ice-skating in the winter.

The Zazecki farm is a 6-acre parcel purchased to protect the Custer Institute, an
astronomical observatory and the farm vista on Main Bayview Road. Several agricultural
uses are being proposed for this property.
Goose Creek Beach, Southold 71-1-2.1
2.7-acre beach at the entrance of Goose Creek, restroonts, and a lifeguard is on duty
during the summer.
Robert Tasker Park, Peconle 74-3-24.1

10.7-acre parcel that is used for sleigh riding in the winter. Wildlife habitat protection
al-ea.
Marratooka Lake - South, Matfituek 115-3-23.1
1.9-acre waterfront parcel used for fishing access to Marratooka Lake and lake vista.
Downs Farm Preserve, Cutchoeue 116-1-3.3
51-acre parcel has passive recreation trails, Management Center and Interpretive Center.
Proglams are planed at the site in the summer of 2003.
New Suffolk Beach, New Suffolk 117-16-22
1.2-acre waterfront beach, with restrooms, picnic tables and a lifeguard on duty during
the SI!retrial'.
Laurel Lake Park, Laurel 125-1-12
11.4-acre wat~front park with fi,qhing access to the lake and two Little League rields,
playground and Tourist Information Booth.
Laurel Lake Preserve - Adamowicz 121-5-4.1 (part of)
10 acres adjoining a 58 acre parcel purchased by Suffolk County. This property will be
one of two trail heads for the Laurel Lake Preserve.
MISCELLAiNIOUS
Strawberry Fields, Mattituck 113-12-15
This 37.3-acre parcel is part ora Greenways Project with the County of Suffolk and the
site is leased to the Town of Southold. Two Little League fields and two soccer fields
will be constructed on this site. The property is home to the Mattituck Lions Club
"Strawberry Festival".

This 10.3-acre parcel is leased by the Town of Southold from the East Marion School
District. A.tennis court, basketball court, playground, Little League field and soccer field

Rocky Point Road, East Marion :-
Beach stainvay to Long Island Sound for fiahing access at the end of Rock Point Road,
East Marion.
Horton's Point, Southold
Beach stairway to Long Island Sound for fishing access at the end of Lighthouse Road,
Southold. This stairway adjoins the Southold Park District Property and the Horton's
Point Lighthouse.
Inlet Pond Park, Greenport 40-2-3.1
This 56-acre waterfront park on Long Island Sound is a Suffolk County Park. The Town
of Southold and the Suffolk County Parks Department have a Stewardship Agreement
whereby the Town of Southold manage~ .the property. North Fork Audubon under this
Stewardship Agreement maintains trails on the property.
