I told him that I must have a Planning Board resolution recommending to the TB the release of this bond, and letters from the Superintendent of Highways and Town Engineer recommending same. Victor contacted Jamie and Jamie gave me a letter but said he doesn't think a letter from the Supt. of Highways was necessary because this highway xvill never be turned over to the Town of Southold. The developer is in need of a Certificate of Occupancy for the overall facility. As per Mr. Verity, the building construction is virtually complete. However, Due to the fact ttiat site plan construction has not yet been finished, the Building Department cannot issue a final C.O. In an effort to expedite or offer a solution to his dilemma, the developer has proposed the creation of a bond or letter of credit to guarantee the completion of the project as approved. Since the weather is currently the detennining factor related tIYfri1mely completion of the project, his offer is not considered an unreasonable request. I have revie>Wed this matter with Mr. Verity and he has agreed that a temporary C.O. could be issued if a bond i~~S posted. I have reviewed the Cost Schedule dated 1/26/05 supplied by the developer.
