Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971-1179 RE: Permit No. 5193, Belvedere Property Management First Street and Jackson Street, New Suffolk S.C.T.M. No. 1000-117-8-19 Dear Mr. Krupski: rr7 I am presently writing you as a follow up to my appearance at the Board's work session prior to last month's (9/02) meeting. As you may recall at that time I had explained to the Board that we wish to extend this permit which was due to expire in 7/02. The reason for the request is that all of the work approved under this permit has not been completed. It is my estimate that approximately 80% of the work has been completed up to this point in time. I would ask that the permit be extended for a minimum of one year. At the time of my appearance before the Board I had also stated that we also wish to modify the permit. The requested modification is to allow for the installation of a gas pump at the site. This pump would also be utilized only to fuel the five -six boats that are used to transport staff, guests and supplies back and forth to Robins Island. The gasoline storage tank would be installed utilizing N.Y.S.D.E.C. and S.C.D.H.S. requirements for such a facility. The tank would be located ± 105 landward of the Mean High Water Line. The pump itself, mounted on a concrete island with a containment sump would be located landward of the recently reconstructed vinyl bulkhead. A ladder would be installed on the seaward side of the bulkhead to provide access to boats in the water. The dispensing of the gas would be limited to and controlled by staff only. For your review I have enclosed three sets of the modified plans (Sheet 2 Of 4) prepared by Barrett, Bonacci & Van Weele, P.C. last dated 10/29/02. As always please feel free to contact me at any time should you have any questions pertaining to this proposal. Sincerely, Glenn E.
