horse breeding operation to be relocated to this property. He will require
paddocks and fencing for horses on the development rights easement area and
wants what he is allowed to do clearly stipulated in the recorded easement. LPC
will need signed acceptance letter from landowner prior to proceeding further.
This project may be eligible for federal grant funding from an old awarded grant if
Feds allow switching of projects.

Tim Caufield presented new application for LPC discussion.
Application received from landowner that he is interested in selling fee title to this
small parcel for preservation purposes. The parcel is located next to Town owned
parkland and of preservation interest to LPC members depending on landowner’s
selling price. Since Marian Sumner of Peconic Land Trust has been the Town’s
contact with the landowner, LPC requested Tim to direct Marian to ascertain
landowner’s financial expectations from the sale of this property and report back
to committee. No further action to be taken at this time.

neighboring townships, seems to be generally ahead of other towns in
preservation operating procedures. John spoke with Allan Connell (USDA), who
would like to see more forums scheduled throughout the year and John
recommended to him that separate informational forums be held for each
township rather than having each forum attended by all towns.
