To Whom This May Concern:
We are enclosing samples, which are being submitted in compliance with the above-referenced
bid,
Please Note! The samples are in accordance with the specified strength. However, since these are
the only bags that we have in stock at the present time, the size of some bags may differ with a couple
of inches. Also, the color of the bags are different and without a print.
Upon approval of our bid we shall manufacture the bags exactly according to the specified
size/color. The purpose of the samples is to test the strength of the bag and the material we are
offering. These samples do serve this purpose.
All shipments made consistent with the enclosed samples will be deemed in full conformance with
bid specifications. We are relying upon approval of these samples for compliance of its bid and will ship
only such bags, in the specified size/color. Acceptance of our bid shall conclusively constitute approval
of the enclosed samples as conformity with bid specifications.

The sealed bid, together with a Non-collusive Bid Certificate and bank
draft or certified check in the amount of $100.00, will be received by the
Town Clerk, at the Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New
York, until 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 2, 1999 at which time they will
be opened and read aloud in public. The Town Board of the Town of
Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any and all
informalities in any bid should it [)e deemed in the best it~terest of the Town
of Southold to do so.

The Town seeks bids for each of two alternatives. ALTERNATIVE # 1 is a bid for supplying the
Town Cearbage bags for CALENDAR YEAR 2000 only. ALTERNATIVE 02 is a bid for
supplying the Town with Garbage Bags for CALENDAR YEAR 2000 thxough 2(}01,

2) THE TOWN IS PRIMARILY INTERESTED IN ADEQUATE PERFORMANCE

clear, colored and printed bags.
The City of Saratoga Springs has found All American Poly to be a
very reliable source. The quality of their goods has always been excellent
and they will go out of their way to make sure our needs are satisfied (even
if the order is a rush).
Ours' is a tourist city, therefore refuse and litter control is of utmost
importance. Hence, the usage of a reliable and expeditious supplier is a

The Town seeks bids for each of two alternatives. ALTERNATIVE #1 is a bid for supplying the
Town Crafoagc bags for CALENDAR YEAR 2000 only. ALTERNATIVE #2 is a bid for
supplying the Town with Garbage Bags for CALENDAR YEAR 2000 through 2001,

· Orders and Delivery: Town will order bags on an "as needed" basis. Supplier agrees to fill the order (i.e.,
deliver the bags) not more than 6 weeks from date of order by the Town.
Notwithstanding any representations contained herein regardin~ bag evaluation criteria, at any point prior to or
after the award of a contract under this bid. the Town reserves the right to have an independent laboratory test
