NOTICE OF HEARING
UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET
NOTICE is hereby given that the preliminary budget of
the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, for the fiscal year
beginning January 1st, 1965, has been completed and filed in the
office of the Town Clerk at Sou~hold, New York, where it is available
for inspection by any interested person at all reasonable hours.
FffRTHER notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the
Town of Southold will meet and review said budget (preliminary) and
hold a public hearing thereon ak the Office of the Supervisor, 16 South
Street, Greenport, New York, in said Town, at 3:00 o'clock p.m. on the
5th day of November, 1964, and that at such hearing any person, may be
heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for
or against any item or items therein contained.
AND F~R~HER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section

WHEREAS, the Superintendent~of Highways of the Town of SouthOl~ has
recommended the purchase or.the ~land, hereinafter describe~, fro~
E. Kenneth Tabor for the sumof~Two Thousan~ an~ 00/100
Dollars for purposes of highway ~rainage,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and ~e hereby
is authorized and directed to enter into a contract, with E. Kenneth.
Tabor for the purchase of the lan~, hereinafter describe~, ~,for the sum
of Two Thous~n~ and 88/100 ($2,000.00) Dollars, and that said, SuPer-
visor also be authorized and directe~ to execute and ~eliver.' all
~ocuments necessary to effect .maid purchase, the la~ to be purchased
being described as follows;
ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and
being at Orient, in the Town of Southold, County of Suffolk, State
of New York, bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at monument on the westerly line of Tabor Roa~ 513.82 feet
northerly along said westerly line from Orchard Street; said point
of beginning being the northeasterly ~orner of l~n~ of the party of
the first part and the southeasterly corner of land of Thomas; from
said point of beginning running along said westerly line of Tabor Road,
South 8 degrees 06 minutes 30 seconds East, 1O0.0 feet; thence along
said land of the party of the first part, tw~ courses, as follows:

RESQLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request
the Long Island Lighting Comapny to install three (3) 400 cpoh and
~hirteen (13) 10O cpoh lights on Pine Neck Road, Southold, N.Y.-
in the Southold Light District as shown on map dated 8/10/64.

WHEREAS, the County of Suffolk wishes to condenm a 16 ft. strip, of land
on the North Road, Cutchogue, N.Y. owned by the Town of Southold for
the widening of the present road,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town of Southold sell this
strip of land for $1.00 to the County of SUffolk.

WHEREAS, bids for radios and equipment for use~y Police of the TOWn
of Southold, were opened on Sept. 29, 1964 at 3:3~ P.M., and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the TOWn of Southold
to reject all bids at this time,
RESOLVED: That all bids received fDr the purchase of said radio equip-
ment be and the same hereby are rejected, and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVRD: That the Supervisor be and he is hereby author-
ized and directed to prepare new specifications for the purchase
of radios and radio equipment for the use of the police department
and to advertise for bids thereon pursuant to law.
