RESOLUTIONS Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to speak on the following resolutions. 1. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute Agreements with the North Fork Housing Alliance re the Family Self Sufficiency Program, the Public Service Agency Support Program, the Home Improvement Program and the Robert L. Perry Child Care Program. 2. Request District Attorney James M. Catterson to designate Southold Town Attorney Gregory F. Yakaboski as a Special District Attorney. 3. Grant permission to the American Diabetes Association to use Town roads for their annual Tour de Cure cycling event on June 28, 1998, bom 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 4. Accept the proposal of Howeseale (Silver Plan) for emergency service calls for maintenance and servicing of the landfill scales. 5. Grant permission to Bay Constable Dzenkowski to attend the Regional Emergency Marine Network Meeting in New Haven, CT, on April 23, 1998. 6. Close Love Lane and Pike Street, Mattituck, on Saturday, July 11, 1998 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Annual Mattituck Street Fair. 7. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute agreements with David Zito and 3eremy Stoffard for the Fishers Island "T-Ball" Spring Recreation Program. 8. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with the North Fork Housing Alliance for the administration and implementation of the Competitive Grant Program for the acquisition and demolition of property in Greenport. 9. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an Agreement with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation for a grant for Fort Corchaug. 10. Authorize Solid Waste Coordinator James Bunchuck to attend a conference hosted by the NY Federation of Solid Waste Associations on April 27-28, 1998 in Saratoga Springs. 11. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an A~'eement with the Suffolk County Office for the Aging for the SNAP Program. 12. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute a Lease Agreement with Mattituck Park District for the construction and operation of volleyball courts. Proclaim April 24, 1998 to be celebrated as ARBOR DAY for the present and future enjoyment of its citizens. Approve Home Rule Message for the 2% Land Bank Bill (S.6751, A.9692). Approve employment of part-time persons for Fishers Island Ferry District. Authorize Supervisor Cochran, Councilwoman Alice Hussie, and Councilman William D. Moore to attend a conference hosted by the Long Island Section 0fthe American Planning Association "A Conference on Downtown Planning and Implementation" on April 29, 1998 in Amityville. Set 8:05 P.M., Tuesday, April 28, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a public heating on the question of the acquisition of the property of Margaret Ciacia, SCTM #1000- 45-1-10. Accept the bid of Northeast Surfacing, Inc. for the application of Polymer Modified Emulsified Asphalt Pavement Course (Type II Micro-Surfacing) and Truing & Leveling (Type 5 - Shim). Accept the bid of Lucas Ford Lincoln Mercury, Inc. for supplying the Highway Department with two 1999 Ford F250 Heavy Duty Cab Pick-ups with Snow Plows. Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget for the Highway Department. (A) Authorize Supervisor Cochran to take the necessary steps to join the litigation providing for the creation of Peconic County. (LOST) (B) The Town of Southold does not wish to jeopardize its formation; therefore will not join with Peconic County Now, Inc. in the litigation against the NYS Assembly. (ADOPTED) Adopt Local Law No. 4-1998 "A Local Law in Relation to a Stop Sign at Willow Pond Lane, Southold". Adopt Local Law No. 5-1998 "A Local Law in Relation to Parking at Beaches (Daily Beach Permit)". Town Board adjourns out of respect to the memory of Raymond C.
