V_~. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note; At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will inv/te the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
l. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for the following road surface
treatments for the Superintendent of Highways: Oil and Sand, Oil and Stone, Liquid
Asphalt, Sand Ivfix (Type $ Shim), Type 6 Top, Emulsions and Stone.
2. Grant permission to Director of Code Enforcement Forrester to attend the NYS Required
instructional course in Code Enforcement at Yaphank on May 6-8, 1998.
3. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign the 1998 Community Development
Agreements with the County of Suffolk.
4. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for Beach Attendants, Lifeguards, Water
Safety for the 1998 Summer Season.
5. Set 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 1998 Southold Town Hall as time and place for a public
hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Soundview Avenue".
6. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with Prostar Promotions,
Inc. for the 1998 Summer recreation programs.
7. Appoint Theresa Van Etten as pan-time Account Clerk at the Nutrition Center, effective
immediately.
8. Grant permission to Supervisor Cochran, Chief Joseph Conway and John Raynor to attend
the 1998 Emergency Management Conference on June 3-4, 1998 at the Melville Marriott.

9b. Appoint Patricia Crarsik as full time Clerk Typist at the Police Department, effective May 1,
1998.
10. Support Senate Bill S.7651 and Assembly Bill A.9692A and request NYS LegislatUre to
adopt such bills.
11. Approve performance bond for roads and improvements in the minor subdivision of Ressell
Pellicano.
12. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for a member of the Board of
Ethics.

Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to transmit to the Southold Town Planning Board and
the Suffolk County Department of Planning "A Local Law in Relation to Revising the
Definition of Freshwater Wetlands".

Set 5:05 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 1998 Southold Town Hall as time and place for a public
hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Partial Exemptions for Real Property Taxes to
Persons with Disabilities Who Have Limited Income".
15. Set 5:10 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 1998 Southold Town Hall as time and place for a public
hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Flood Damage Prevention".
16. Set the salary for Seasonal part-time employees and Work StUdy employees at $6.82 per
hour.
17. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for full time provisional clerk-typists for
the Supervisur's Office, Town Clerk's Office and Human ResourCe Center.
18. Re-advertise for bids for the Greenport Chamber of Commerce Tourism Information Booth.
19a. Determine that acquisition of the Ciacia property would have no significant effect on the
environment.
19b. Approve acquisition of Ciacia property under the Open Space Preservation Program.
