RESOLUTIONS Special Note: At the start &the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to speak on the following resolutions. ~ Appoint Roxana L. Cruz to the position of Full Time Spanish Speaking Clerk at the Police Department. Grant permission to the New Suffolk Civic Association to use town roads for their Annual Independence Day Parade July 4, 1998. Establish Soundview Avenue Resurfacing Project Capital Project in the 1998 Capital Budget. 5~D Set 8:00 p.m., June 23, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a public hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to No Parking Signs on Carroll Avenue"· ~2~ Amend resolution no..29 of May 26; 1998 to set the salary of intern Sean Bowden at $6·82 per hour· ~ Authorize Town Clerk Betty Neville to solicit proposals for trust service, administration and/or funding of a deferred compensation plan for employees for the Town of Southold. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 Highway Department Budget for Parks & Beaches Equipment Rental. Grant permission to Comptroller John Cushman and Personnel Assistant Barbara Rudder to attend "Employment Tax Awareness Seminar for Municipalities" on August 18 in Riverhead. Accept the recommendation of the Fort Corchaug Management Committee that the site formerly known as the "Baxter Property" be known forthwith as "Downs Farm Preserve". Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 Recreation Department Budget for Meetings and Seminars. Engage the services of Stanley J. Isaksen to prepare a survey separating the active farmland from the non-farm area of the estate of Sophie Kaloski at the request of the Farmland Preservation Committee. Set 8:05 p.m., June 23, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as a time and place for a public hearing on the question of acquisition of development rights in the agricultural lands of the Estate of Sophie Kaloski, SCTM #1000-102-04-006.1 and 109-01-024.1. Grant permission to the South01d Village Merchants to use Boisseau Avenue and Tuckers Lane, Southold, for their "Home Town" parade on July 4, 1998. Rescind Resolution No. 4 of April 14, 1998 accepting the proposal of Howe Scale for maintenance and servicing of the landfill scales. Accept the proposal of Atlantic Scale for the maintenance and servicing of the landfill scales for the calendar year 1998. Authorize Supervisor Cochran to sign the 1998 A~reement with the North Fork Housing Alliance for the Southold HOME Investment Partnership Program. lk~c,~) 17. Create the position of Senior Citizen Program Supervisor and establish salary scale. ~. Proclaim the month of June as "Amateur Radio Month" culminating June 27 & 28, 1998 with Field Day at Horton's Point Lighthouse in Southold. Proclaim June 20, 1998 as "Eastern Long Island Breast Cancer Resource Center Day" in the Town of Southold and encourage support on that date of their "FIRST ANNUAL GALA" at Pindar Vineyard Pavilion in Peconic. ~ Authorize modification to the 1998 General Fund Whole Town Recreational Budget. Engage Paul J. Foley as a part time purser and Brendon H. McGinley as pan time deckhand at the Fishers Island Ferry District. Allocate $500 to Loaves & Fishes under the 1998 Southold Town Grants Program. Authorize modification to the 1998 General Fund Whole Town Budget for the Architectural Review Board. Authorize Town Clerk to advertise for two mgthbers of the Architecttiral R'bview Board. Set 8:10 p.m., June 23, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a Public Hearing on the Repeal of Section 100-275(C) "A Local Law in Relation to Public Hearings". Support intervention in the action "Initiative for Competitive Energy/Jack Kulka vs. LIPA", provided the full review supports the facts brought forth in the initial review.
