RESOLUTIONS Special Note: At the start of thc Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to speak on the following resolutions. 1. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for Snow Fence and "T' Posts for the Highway Department. 2. Appoint 1998 Summer Recreation Department personnel. 3. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute a soRware license and services agreement for a new so,ware package for the Police Department. 4. Accept, with regret, the resignation of William Evans, Assistant Cook, at the Human Resource Center. 5. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for an Assistant Cook at the Human Resource Center. 6. Accept the proposal of J.P. Hunter, Inc. to repair and replace the Highway Department storage rooi~ 7. Authorize the establishment of I-fighway Roof Capital Project in the 1998 Capital Budget. 8. Set $:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, t998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a public hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Revising the Definition of Freshwater Wetlands". 9. Authorize expenditure for expenses ofNYS DMV individuals to travel to Fishers Island to process renewal of drivers licenses, not to exceed $410. 10. Appoint Melanie Doroski provisionally to the position of Clerk-Typist in the Office of the Supervisor. 11. Accept the recommendation of the Fort Corchaug Management Committee that the site formerly known as the "Baxter Property" be known forthwith as "Downs Farm Preserve".. 12. Affirm commitment to farmland preservation program and oppose any efforts to release properties from farmland or open space preservation program. Terminate the employment of Edward Moore as a deckhand from the Fishers Island Ferry District. Authorize the Fishers Island Ferry District to publish a notice in the NYS Register and the local newspaper to solicit proposals for trust service, administration and/or funding of a deferred compensation plan for employees of the Fishers Island Ferry District. 16. Establish pay rates for the employees of the Fishers Island Ferry District. 17. Appoint individuals to be employed by the Fishers Island Feny District. 18. Create the position of Senior Citizen Program Supervisor and establish salary scale. 19. Appoint Lynda M. Bohn provisionally to the position of Clerk-Typist in the Office of the Town Clerk. 20. Authorize the purchase of one Oliver 1850 Tractor charged to the Solid Waste District 1998 Budget. 21. Authorize modification to the Solid Waste District 1998 budget to fund the purchase of a tractor. 22. Commence the Lead Agency Coordination process with regard to the SEQRA with regard to a change of zone petition of C. Terry Latham. 23. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to transmit the change of zone petition of C. Terry Latham to the Southold Town Planning Board and the Suffolk County Department of Planning for their recommendations. 24. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget for Clerk Typist in the Supervisor's Office. 25. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget for Clerk Typist in the Town Clerk's Office. 26. Authorize transfer of Stenographer Carol Kalin to the Office of the Town Attorney. 27. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute the necessary documents to accept a grant from the NYS Department of Education for records management. Authorize the refund of $400 to Anne Marusevich from the Board of Zoning Appeals. 30. Allocate $500 to CAST for their summer recreation program under the 1998 Grant Program. 31. Set 5:05 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 1.998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a public hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Electing a Retirement Incentive". 32. Accept the proposal of Nelson, Pope & VoorNs, LLC to perform an Environmental Review of the legislation for the formation of a public utility service for electric and gas in the Town of Southold. 33. Accept the proposal o£Nelson, Pope & Voorhis, LLC to perform an Environmental Review 0f'the "Local Law in Relation to Revising thc Definition of Freshwater Wetlands". 34. Authorize modification to the G~neral Fund Whole Town 1998 budget for Environmental Consultant. 35. Accept the bid of Electro Environmental Technologies, Inc. to remove, transport, and dispose of scavenger waste from the Southold Town Scavenger Waste Treatment Facility. 36. Reject all the bids received for the construction of the Tourist Information Booth in Greenport. 37. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to readvertise for bids for the construction of the Tourist Information Booth in Greenport. 38. Enact "A Local Law in Relation to No Parking Signs on Carroll Avenue". 39. Determine that acquisition of development rights in the Estate of Kaloski shall have no significant effect on the environment. 40. Approve purchase of development rights in the Estate of Kaloski. 41. Engage the services of Stanley J. Isaksen PLS to prepare a survey to separate the active farmlands from the non-farm area in the Estate of Kaloski. 42.
