Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
1~ SEQR Determination on Peconic Parl~ Property.
~. Authorize purchase of Peconic Park Property.
c. Adopt bond resolution authorizing the acquisition of 13.85 acres of land on the west side of
Peconic Lane, Southold, at the estimated maximum cost of $210,000; and authorizing the
issuance of $210,000 serial bonds to finance said appropriation.
Appoint Kent McCarthy as a member of the Labor Management Committee to replace
Peter Verdon.
Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget to appropriate donated funds for the
installation of street lights on Fishers Island.
Modify the budget to appropriate funds for student intern.
Grant permission to Detective Beth Dzenkowski to attend the NYS Police Juvenile Officers
Association annual training conference, August 23-28, in Ithaca, NY.

'~ Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1998 police department budget.
~) Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1998 police department budget to appropriate funds
for sick earnings.
~Appoint Sheniqua Gholson for the remainder of the season as playground instructor and first
year beach attendant.
~ Authorize the closure of one block of Cases Lane in Cutchogue between 7:00 and 10:00 pm
for the 19th Annual Douglas Moore Memorial Concert, Village Green in Cutchogue.
Accept the bid of North Fork Welding & Steel Supply Inc. for the repair of the Landfill
Truck Scale.
Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget to appropriate donated funds for Ft.
Wright street lights.
Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1998 Solid Waste budget to appropriate funding for
equipment repair and maintenance work.
Amend resolution no. 30 of the January 2, 1998 Organizational Meeting increasing
compensation of Board of Assessment Review members.
Modify General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget to appropriate funds for the Tree
Committee.
Authorize $25,000 grant to the Peconic Land Trust proposed Budget for Down's Farm
Preserve.
Authorize modification to the Assessors 1998 budget.
Authorize $500 grant to the Douglas Moore Concert.
Authorize and direct Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for a full-time mechanic at the
disposal area.
~ Request New York State Department of Transportation to conduct a speed survey on
Leslie's Road, Cutchogue.
~Set 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 1998 as the date for a public hearing on A Local Law in
Relation to the 2% Land Bank Bill.

Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to send the proposed Temporary Moratorium on
County Road 48 to the Suffolk County Planning Commission and Southold Town Planning
Board for their recommendations and comments.
Appoint Dr. Joseph F. Chiarmonte to the Ethics Committee for a three (3) year term of
office to expire on May 3, 2001.
Set 5:05 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 1998 as the time and date for a public hearing on the
question of the acquisition of Oscar Bloom property.
