address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

PUBLIC NOTICES
NYS DEC Notice of Complete Application of Breezy Shores Inc. to remove 350 feet of
failed bulkhead and replace with 285 feet of rock revetment and to fill behind revetment
with concrete rubble existing on site and approximately 500 cubic yards of clean upland fill
on property located at Sage Blvd., Southold, Town of Southold. Written comments by
August 21, 1998.
NYS DEC Notice of Complete Application of Southold Town to install a water control
structure to provided management capability to impound water on site during waterfowl
nesting and migration for a project located at Elizabeth Field Airport, Fishers Island, Town
of Southold. Written comments by August 28, 1998.

Letter to Supervisor Jean Cochran from Charles J. Bartha, Commissioner, Department of
Public Works acknowledging receipt of request regarding a travel signal at CR 48, Middle
Country Road and Zack's Lane in Cutchogue.
Notice from NYS DEC, Bureau of Marine Resources re re-filing the emergency
regulations concerning the recreational black sea bass closed season.

4. Removal of the restriction on corporate structure - per Councilman Murphy.
5. Appointments to Land Preservation Committee.
6. Code Enforcement - building without a permit.
7. Fishers Island Constable - per Councilwoman Evans.

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
~) Appoint Kristopher Campbell as a Lifeguard (1't year).
Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with Richard Halle for
the folk dancing lessons program.
~ Modify the General Fund Whole Town Budget to appropriate donated funds for Programs
for the Aging.
"~3 Modify the General Fund Whole Town Budget to appropriate donated funds for street
lighting and fixtures.
Modify the General Fund Whole Town Budget to transfer funds from Accounting &
Finance, C.E., to Accounting & Finance, P.S.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute 1998 agreement with Robert Perry
Child Day Care Center.
~ Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with Suffolk County
Office for the Aging, for the Community Services for the Elderly Senior Day Care Program.
Authorize a refund to Griswold-Terry-Glover Post American Legion Auxiliat~ Unit 803 for
cancelled Bingo occasions.
Rescind Resolution No. 23. of July 21, 1998 setting a public hearing of the acceptance of
Estate of Oscar Bloom offer for Open Space Preservation.

Hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to No Parking Signs on Main Street, New Suffolk".
Grant permission to the Board of Commissioners of Fishers Island Ferry District to engage
services of Timothy J. Keating as a full-time Ferry Captain.
Grant permission to the Board of Commissioners of Fishers Island Ferry District to accept
proposal of Whaling City Dredge and Dock Corp. to perform emergency repairs at the New
London, Connecticut ferry ramp.
Grant to the Board of Commissioners of Fishers Island Ferry District to engage
permission
services of Michael S. Iannaci as a part-time deck hand.

Grant permission to the Board of Commissioners of Fishers Island Ferry District to engage
services of Alan N. Gordon as a projectionist for the Fishers Island Community Theater.
Accept the bid of Capitol Highway Materials, Inc. for supplying Southold Town Highway
Department with Snow Fence and T-Posts in accordance with bid specifications.
Engage the services of Valerie D. Malone as an Assistant Cook for the Nutrition Program.
Allocate $20,000 to the Peconic Land Trust for phase I of the proposed budget for Down's
Farm Preserve.
Modify the General Fund Whole town 1998 budget for Downs Farm Preserve
Improvements.
Determine that the acquisition efforts of Gaz?a, Lettieri, and the Peconic Land Trust is
pursuant to the Town's dearly delineated public policy to protect the scenic, open space
character of the Town, and that said efforts will yield a significant public benefit.
Support the clean up of P~r.
Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for a~ time Fisherslsland
Constable.
Appoint Frederick A. Lee, Jarvis W. Reed Ir., and Mary Bess Phillips as members of the
Southold Town Land Preservation Committee.
Engage the services of Andrew D. Stype to conduct an appraisal on behalf of the Land
Preservation Committee on the Fitzgerald Property, SCTM 1000-006-08-006.
Set 8:12 p.m., August 18, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a Public
Hearing on establishing an advisory board for the Community Preservation Project Plan.
Set 8:15 p.m., August 18, 1998, SoUthold Town Hall, as time and place for a Public
Hearing on implementing the Community Preservation Project Plan.
Set 8:20 p.m., August 18, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a Public
Heating on imposing the 2% real estate transfer tax,
Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to send the proposed Temporat3, Moratorium on
County Road 48 to the Suffolk County Planning Commission and Southold Town Planning
Board for their recommendations and comments.
