Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
Designate Storrs/Lester House, Theodore James House, William Asip House, and the
Cosden Estate Historic District as Southold Town Landmarks, in accordance with the
recommendation by the Landmark Preservation Commission.
2. Set 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for
a Special Meeting of the Southold Town Board.
3. Authorize the Town Clerk to advertise for various bids.
4. Set 8:00 p.m., October 13, 1998, Southold Town Hall, as time and place for a public hearing
on "A Local law in Relation to Stop Signs on Meadow Lane and Azalea Road".
Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran as the official representative to act in connection
with any application between Southold Town and New York State with regard to State
assistance payments for closure of the landfill.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign a partnership agreement form with the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service, Suffolk County, and Ducks Unlimited as part of the Orient Point
Grassland Restoration Project.

7. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign the 1999 DFY Program Application for the
Southold Town Juvenile Aid Bureau.
8. Request the Suffolk County Department of Public Works to conduct a traffic study on
County Road 48, Peconic.
9. Appointment to the position of Scale Operator.
10. Authorize closure of Case's Lane, Cutchogue, on October 3, 1998, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m.'for the Annual Harvest Fair to be held by the Mattituck Lioness Club.
11. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget for gifts and
donations.
12. Appoint Kirsten Unfried as a Technical under the F.I. BTI Mosquito Control Program.
13. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute necessar3r documents for consideration
of the nomination of the Fort Corchaug Archaeological Site for designation as a National
Historic Landmark.
14. Grant permission to the Southold PTA to hold a Fun Run on Saturday, October 3, 1998
using Southold Town roads.
15. Authorize the establishment of Capital Project in the 1998 Capital Budget "Assessors Filing
System",
16. Authorize the purchase of one Gehl 7210 mixer wagon for use with the Ag Bag compost
system.
17. Authorize modification to the Solid Waste Management District 1998 budget for the
purchase of sanitation equipment.
18. Appoint Douglas Murphy as a Member of the Transportation Committee.
19. Appoint individuals as Members of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council.
20. Appoint Scott A. Hila~y as Chairperson of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory
Council.
21. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to re-advertise for resumes for a member of the
Landmark Preservation Commission.

22. Determine that "A Local Law in Relation to Senior Citizen Exemption" shall have no
significant effect on the environment.
23. Enact "A Local Law in Relation to Senior Citizen Exemption?.
24. Determine that acquisition of the Fitzgerald property shall have no significant effect on the
environment.
25. Approve acquisition of the Fitzgerald property, SCTM #1000-06-04-011 & 1000~06-08-006.
Determine that "A Local Law in Relation to Non-Commercial Scallop Season" shall have no
significant effect on the environment.
Enact "A Local Law in Relation to Non-Commercial Scallop Season".

Determine that "A Local Law in Relation to A Temporary Moratorium on the Issuance of
Approvals and/or Permits for Business zoned Property Along the Route 25 Corridor from
the Intersection of SR25 and CR48 East to the Intersection of SR 25 and Manhasset Avenue
in the Town of Southold" shall have no significant effect on the environment.

Enact "A Local Law in Relation to A Temporary Moratorium on the Issuance of Approvals
and/or Permits for Business zoned Property Along the Route 25 Corridor from the
Intersection of SR25 and CR48 East to the Intersection of SR 25 and Manhasset Avenue in
the Town of Southold".

Determine that "A Local Law in Relation to Amending Section 4. Exclusions of the Local
Law Adopted on September 5, 1998 entitled 'Temporary Moratorium on the Issuance of
Approvals and/or Permits on Business Zoned Along the Route 48 Corridor in the Town of
Southold'" shall have no significant effect on the environment.

Enact "A Local Law in Relation to Amending Section 4. Exclusions of the Local Law
Adopted on September 5, 1998 entitled 'Temporary Moratorium on the Issuance of
Approvals and/or Permits on Business Zoned Along the Route 48 Corridor in the Town of
Southold' ".
32. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute any and all documents with Dvirka &
Bartilucci with regard to the Landfill Closure.
