POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
1. Authorize monthly payment to the Village of Greenport for services provided in protecting
the East-West Fire Protection District, pending settlement of a contract.
2a. Declare the purchase ora Front End Loader to be a Type II Action, pursuant to the SEQRA
Rules and Regulations, 6NYCRR, Sec. 617.5(c)(25) and Chap. 44 of the Town Code.
2b. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for the purchase ora new or used
Front End Loader for the Highway Department.
3. Request enactment of Assembly Bill #1754, "An Act to amend the executive law, in relation
to population requirements for municipalities wishing to establish youth bureaus".
4. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget to appropriate funds
for an overdrawn line in Data Processing.
5. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget to appropriate funds
~'or computer maintenance.
6. Authorize modification to the Solid Waste Management 1998 budget to appropriate funds
for miscellaneous expenses.
7. Accept the bid of Osweiller Brothers Equipment for a new scalehouse at the landfill.
8. Accept, with regret, the resignation of Terry Crupi, Senior Coordinator on Fishers Island.
Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for a Senior Coordinator on Fishers Island.
10a. Declare the purchase of Screened Sand to be a Type II Action, pursuant to the SEQRA
Rules and Regulations, 6NYCRR, Sec. 617.5(c)(25) and Chap. 44 of the Town Code.
10b. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to re-advertise for bids for the purchase of 10,000
yards, more or less, of Screened Sand.
11. Authorize modification to the General Fund Part Town 1998 budget for salaries in the
Planning Department.
12. Authorize modification to the General Fund Part Town 1998 budget for aerial photographs.

16. Accept, with regret, the resignation of Part-time Public Safety Dispatcher Charles Tyler, Jr.
17. Grant permission to the Southold Police Department to send two police officers to attend the
ASP Instructor Certification Course March 22 and March 23, 1999 in Newport, RI.
18. Grant permission to Det. Beth Dzenkowski to attend the NYS Juvenile Aid Officers Assoc.
Board Meeting March 11 and March 12, 1999 in Albany.
19. Grant permission to Carol Betty, Stephanie McCarthy and Karen McLaughlin of the Human
Resource Center to attend a seminar on aging March 23, 1999 in Smithtown.
20. Grant permission to Jamie Richter to attend training courses April 12-15, May 17-20, and
June 14-17 in Yaphank, May 24-27 in Montour Falls, and June 28-July 1 in Nassau.
21. Determine that the Conservation Easements conveyed by Raoul Witteveen to Peconic Land
Trust are pursuant to the Town's public policy toward preservation of open space.
22. Accept the bid of Mullen Motors for a 1999 Demo Jeep Cherokee Classic for the Highway
Department.
23. Accept the bid of Mullen Motors for a 1999 Dodge Dump Truck for the Highway
Department.
24. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1998 budget for overdrawn
appropriations.
25. Authorize modification to the East-West Greenport Fire Protection District 1998 budget to
cover overdrawn line items.
26. Authorize modification to the General Fund Part Town 1998 budget to cover earnings.

Endorse the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Chamber of Commerce's beautification project in the
Village of Cutchogue and support their grant application to the SC Downtown Revitalization

Endorse the North Fork Promotion Council's project to promote local business and events
and support their grant application to the SC Downtown Revitalization Program.
Endorse the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce's project for beautification of the Love
lane/Pike Street area and support their grant application to the SC Downtown Revitalization
Program.
Promote Melissa Spiro to the position of Senior Planner.
Accept the bid of Advance Equipment, Inc. for the purchase of One 1998 Used Tractor.
Accept the bid of Fred J. Gallo Used Auto parts for the sale of One Used 1995 Ford Crown
Victoria.

Technologies Corp. for engineering services for the Fishers Island Sewer District.
Authorize Supervisor Cochran to execute a pre-application form to enable the Peconic Land
Trust to apply to the National Park Service for a grant.
Authorize Supervisor Cochran to request the Suffolk County Department of Public Works
engineering Supervisor to conduct a review of the plans for the Brushes Creek culvert for
structural viability.
