POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
I Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for Part-Time Seasonal Police
Officers to attend the 1999 Police Academy training session.
2 Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for Traffic Control Officers.
3. Grant permission to Police Officer John J. Charters III to attend the Universal Hiring
Program COPS Seminar May 18-22 in Massachusetts.
4. Authorize the acceptance of residential leaves and brush at the Landfill free of charge for
three weeks prior to and during the Highway Clean-Up Weeks in 1999.
5. Amend Resolution No. 31 of the February 18, 1999 meeting by adding "Provisional" to the
position of Senior Planner.
6. Accept the bid of East Coast Mines and Materials Corporation for the purchase of 10,000
yards of Screened Sand.
7. Amend Resolution No. 28 of the January 19, 1999 meeting by deleting a portion of the dates.
8. Authorize the Mattituck-Cutchogue Teacher's Association to use town roads for their
"Scholarship Walk" on May 8, 1999.
9. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1999 budget to purchase guns in
the Police Department.
l0 Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1999 budget to purchase new
weapons in the Police Department.
I 1. Grant permission to the Association for the Help of Retarded Children to use Town property
at Silversmiths Corner as part of their "Laurel Run" on May 1, 1999.
12. Accept the bid of Edward Ehbar, Inc. Construction Equipment for the purchase of one Used
1998 Front-End Loader for the Highway Department.
13. Set the salary of Interpreters for the Southold Town Justice court at $50 per session.
14. Authorize modification to the Solid Waste District 1999 budget for Payloader maintenance.

15. Appoint Ann Kudlinski as Senior Aide under the S. C. Senior Employment Title V Program.
16 Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with the S. C. Office for
the Aging for the lllC Nutrition Extension Agreement.
17 Authorize support of tax abatement for downtown areas.
18. Authorize increase in Memorial Tree Program donation from $250 to $350.
19. Authorize the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for Landmark Preservation Committee
members.
20. Authorize the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for Transportation Committee members.
2 I. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to renew the Agreement for Parking in the
Rothman parking field.
22. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to renew the Agreement for Parking in the
Cutchogue Presbyterian Church parking field.
23. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign a project amendment to extend the LWRP
(Mattituck Inlet Stormwater Plan).
24. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign a project amendment to extend the LWRP
(Street End Access Improvements).
