Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
1. Grant permission to the Knights of Columbus to use Depot Lane, Cutchogue, on Saturday,
October 16, 1999, for a Pro Life March to the Shrine of the Unborn at Sacred Heart
Cemetery.
2. Grant permission to "Friends of Joan and Bob Kujawski" to use Town roads in Mattituck
and Cutchogue on Sunday, August 8, 1999 for "Benefit Bike Ride".
3. Authorize modification to the Solid Waste 1999 budget tO fund seasonal labor.
4. Authorize modification to the Solid Waste 1999 budget for scrap tire removal.
5. Appoint Linda Cooper to the position of Administrative Assistant.
6. Approve the amended Municipal Cooperative Agreement, and authorize and direct
Supervisor Cochran to execute said contract.
7. Grant increases in salary to part-time Fishers Island Ferry District personnel.
8. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute 1999 Grant Program applications for
grant proposals under the Environmental Protection Act of 1993 and/or the Clean
Water/Clean Air Bond Act of 1996, all in accordance with the approval of the Town
Attorney.
Sa. Declare the acquisition of real property adjacent to Dam Pond to be an Unlisted Action under
SEQRA and 6 NYCRR 617.1, declare Southold Town to be the lead agency for the project,
and determine that there will be no significant adverse impact on the environment.
Bb. Declare the acquisition of real property adjacent to Laurel Lake to be an Unlisted Action
under SEQRA and 6 NYCRR 617.1, declare Southold Town to be the lead agency for the

9. Authorize and direct Supervisor Coehran to execute an amendment to the Lease Agreement
between the Town of Southold and Southold Town Solid Waste Management District.
10. Declares the purchase of the Levin Property, SCTM//1000444-5 and 1000-45-1-9,
Greenport, NY, an unlisted action under the SEQRA rules and regulations.

Authorize the closure of Pike Street, Wickham Avenue and Love Lane, Mattituck from
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 1999 during the Mattituck High School's
Annual Homecoming Day Parade.
Grant additional longevity salary increases to Stephen Burke, Captain; Mark Easter, Captain
and marine Operations Manager; and Richard Hoch, Freight Agent, employees of the Fishers
Island Ferry District, effective January 14, 1999.
Authorize and direct Town Clerk Elizabeth Neville to advertise for resumes for the position
of part-time mini-van drivers for the Southold Town Nutrition Program.
Grant permission to Venetian McKeighan, Director of Human Services to place an
advertisement in The Suffolk Times advertising the "STRONG BONES - Make Them Yours
for Life Seminar" being held August 16, 1999.
Amend Resolution No. 9 of the July 6, 1999 Town Board Meeting to increase the allowance
for NYS Motor Vehicle expenses incurred for travel to Fishers Island.
Authorize submission of a proposal to the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets,
proposing a cooperative effort to acquire the agricultural properties submitted to the Land
Preservation Committee for the sale of such fights in accordance with the terms of the
Agricultural and Farmland Protection Program.
Participate in Partnership Program with Suffolk County, Peconic Land Trust and the
landowners of Dam Pond Parcels in order to acquire said parcels: SCTM//1000-22-3-19,
//1000-22-3-20,//1000-22-3-21,//1000-22-3-22,//1000-31-5-1.2.
Approve Resolution and Order After Public Hearing in the matter of the increase and
improvement of facilities for the Southold Solid Waste Management District, in the Town of
Southold, in the County of Suffolk, New York, pursuant to Section 202-b of the Town Law.
Authorize modification to the Solid Waste Management District 1999 budget to finance
additional appropriations for the new Scale House.
Elect to purchase the property of Levin, SCTM #1000-44-4-5 and//1000-45-1-9, approxi-
mately 59.4 acres, on the south side of Sound Avenue and Chapel Lane, Greenport.
