POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.

2. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with individuals for the
winter 2000 recreation programs.
Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for Seasonal Police Officers for the 2000
Summer Season.

Summer Season.
5. Authorize modification to the Police Division 1999 budget for supplies.

equipment.

Authorize Supervisor Cochran to execute all necessary agreements to secure the NYS
Department of Agriculture and markets Farmland Protection Grant, Contract #C8000510.
10. Accept the bid of Gershow Recycling Corp for Removal of Scrap Metal at the Landfill.
11. Accept the bid of Chemical Pollution Control for Removal of Household Hazardous Waste
at the Landfill.
12. Authorize modification to the Police Division 1999 budget for radio equipment.

Declare the construction of a Prefabricated Dome Style Salt Sand Storage Building a
SEQRA Type II Action, declare the Town of Southold to be lead agency, and determine
that the Town Board is required to complete no further review.

Authorize the construction of a Salt Storage Building in the Highway Yard of the Highway
Department, at a maximum cost of $90,000, and financing said amount by authorizing the
issuance of serial bonds.
~) Request the Suffolk County Department of Public Works to conduct a traffic survey at the
intersection of Route 48 and Depot Lane in Cutchogue for the purpose of installing a traffic
light.
Accept the Bid of Carter-Mellence, Inc. for the construction of a Prefabricated Dome Style
Salt Sand Storage Building at the Highway Department.
18. Authorize the establishment of the Police Communications Center Upgrade Capital Budget.
Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for the removal and transport of
scavenger waste from the Wastewater Treatment Facility, and authorize Supervisor Cochran
to send a letter to Electro Environmental asking them to continue to provide the service
temporarily.
Set 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a
public hearing on "A Local law in Relation to Amending Chapter 56 entitled 'Landmark
Preservation of the Code of the Town of S outhold'".

Set 5:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a
public hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Amending Chapte~ 33 entitled 'Fishers Island
Harbor Management Plan of the code of the Town of Southold'". '
Authorize the Town Attorney to execute a Stipulation in State of New York vs. Town of
Southold, providing that the Town of Southold shall assume all responsibility for the
remediation of the oil spill designated as NYS Spill #85-1219.
Engage the services of Nelson, Pope & Voorhis, LLC to conduct the SEQRA analysis on
the Stephen King change of zone application.
Accept the proposal of Roy H. Reeve Agency, Inc. to provide the Town of Southold with
insurance coverage through December 31, 2000.
Accept the bid of lnterboro Packaging Corporation to supply the Town of Southold with
Yellow Plastic Bags for the calendar year 2000.
