RESOLUTIONS Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to speak on the following resolutions. 1. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with the County of Suffolk for the 2000 Community Development Block Grant Program. 2. RESOLUTIONS - Cont. Authorize the issuance of free beach parking permits to water safety instructors, beach attendants, lifeguards, beach managers and Recreation Supervisor Ken Reeves. Authorize a reimbursement fee of $.30 per mile to beach managers and lifeguards acting as rotating lifeguards. Authorize Kathleen DeSimone to take and transcribe minutes temporarily for the Board of Assessment Review. Establish European American Bank as a depository for HUD Block Grant funds; and authorize Supervisor Coch~'an to execute an agreement with the County of Suffolk and EAB for the Home Improvement Account. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with individuals for the summer 2000 recreation programs. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2000 budget for overdrawn Personal Services line in the Accounting Department. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute a Stipulation of Settlement with the CSEA regarding the hourly rates of pay for certain beach and recreational personnel. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2000 budget for programming changes to the Town Clerk's computer program. Authorize a change in title for Cordne Bednoski fi.om Wastewater Treatment Plant Helper to Laborer. Appoint Diane C. Foster as a pan-time Detention Attendant. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2000 budget for "Welcome to Southold" signs. Request funds for Landfill capping and closing or other purposes pursuant to the Suffolk County Drinking Water Protection Program. Recommend acquisition of land and pledge use of funds received under the Suffolk County Drinking Water Protection Program. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with the Suffolk County Office for the Aging, from the SNAP. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2000 budget to appropriate revenue for the Tree Committee. Authorize modification to the General Fund Part Town 2000 budget for travel reimbursement in the Planning Department. Grant permission to Det. Beth Dzenkowski to attend the NYS Police Juvenile Officers Association June 1 and 2, 2000 in Ithaca. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute the covenants and restrictions required by the S.C. Health Department related to a well for the Joyce P. Terry property. Request the NYS Department of Transportation to conduct a traffic study in the area of Rocky Point Road in East Marion for the purpose of lowering the speed limit. Set 5:00 p.m., June 6, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Adding a Stop Sign at Seventh Street, Greenport". Set 5:02 p.m., June 6, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to 'No Standing Any Time' signs on Greenwood Road, Fishers Island". Authorize increases in the Town's Crime Coverage to increase Forgery & Altercation coverage; increase the coverage on Supervisor, Deputy Supervisor and Receiver of Taxes; and add Town Comptroller and 3 staff members of the Accounting Department. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2000 budget to cover the engineering services of H2M regarding the Brushes Creek Bridge. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2000 budget to create budget items for the East End Transportation Council and Sustainable East End Development projects. Authorize modification to the Public Safety Communications 2000 budget for communications equipment at the police station. 30. Authorize modification to the Emergency Preparedness 2000 budget for communications equipment at the police station. 31. Designate Chief Inspector and/or appointed inspectors of Nassau/Suffolk Electrical Inspections as Electrical Inspectors of the Town of Southold and authorize and deputize them to make inspections and re-inspections of all electrical installations. 32. Grant permission to the Southold High School Music Department to use Jernick Lane and connecting Town side streets for marching practice on May 25, 2000. 33. Authorize a $250 refund to Robert and Andrea Mohr, representing a filing fee to the ZBA, which application was withdrawn by the applicant. 34. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for a provisional full-time Clerk-Typist in the Justice Court. 35. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to re-advertise for Student Interns in Town Hall. 36. Authorize and direct Island Group Administration to pay the medical bill of an employee, which bill was submitted by the provider more than 30 days after service was provided. 37. Accept the bid ofJ. C. Quinn for grubbing, grading and seeding of the Peconic Lane Park playing field. 38. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign an agreement with J. C. Quinn for the grubbing, grading, and seeding of the Peconic Lane Park playing field. 39. Accept the bid of Corazzini Asphalt, Inc. for all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of the walking and jogging track at the Peconic Lane Park. 40. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign an agreement with Corazzini Asphalt, Inc. for the furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the walking and jogging track at the Peconic Lane Park. 41. Grant permission to the New Suffolk Civic Association, Inc. to use Town roads for their "Sixth Annual Independence Day Parade" on July 4, 2000. Authorize and direct Island Group Administration to pay the medical bill of an employee, which bill was submitted by the provider more than 30 days after services were provided. 43. Authorize modification to the Solid Waste District 2000 budget to cover the cost of property appraisals. 44. Amend the contract with Dvirka and Bartilucci to allow for independent review and oversight with respect to the capping of the Cutchogue Landfill; and authorize the Supervisor to execute an agreement to achieve such contract amendment. 45. Set 5:08 p.m., June 6, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Restricted Truck Traffic on Love Lane" located in Mattituck, New York. 46. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to sign the letter from the East End Supervisors and Mayors Association re Assembly Bill A9586 and Senate Bill S7099. 47. Authorize Principal Planner Valerie Scopaz to advertise for clerical assistance for the East End Transportation Council. Authorize the Town Clerk to advertise for an intern at the rate of $8.00 per hour. Enact "A Local Law in Relation to Parking on Hobart Road".
