also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
I. Accept the proposal of Albrecht, Viggiano, Zure~k, & Company to conduct an audit of the
books and records of the Town and its grant programs, and authorize and direct Supervisor
Cochran to execute the letter of engagement for the services.

Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for members of the Land Preservt~ion
Committee.
Authorize modification of the General fund Whole Town 2000 budget to consolidate the
2000 Parka & Beach Facilities budget into the 2000 Building & Grounds budget.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2000 budget to appropriate Park
& Recreation funds for Klipp Park improvemems.
Grant permission to Senior Planner Melissa Spiro to attend the National Land Trust Rally
2000 in Portland, Oregon, October 19-22, 2000.
Appoint staffto seasonal positions, per Recreation Director Ken Reeves.
Grant permission to Det, Beth Dzenkowski to attend the NYS Police Juvenile Officer
Association Annual Training Conference at Ellenville, NY, September 10-15, 2000.
Authorize and direct Island Group Administration to pay the medical bill of an employee,
which bill exists due to insurance transition and billing error.
Establish the Department of Land Preservation.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with the Greenport
American Legion for the rental of the Legion Hall on August 18-20, 2000 for the Anti-Bias
Task Force 3'a Annual Motown Dance.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute a service agreement with ACS for
computer system services.
Refer "A Local Law in Reference to Restricting Tobacco Advertising" to the Suffolk
County Planning Commission and the Southold Town Planning Board.
Set 8:00 p.m., August 15, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on "A Local Law in Reference to Restricting Tobacco Advertising".
Amend Resolution No. 31, adopted June 20, 2000, by inserting thc word "Potential" on the
title of the water map to read: "Locations of Existing Water Mains and of Potential Future
Water Mains Rehttive to Protected Lands Within Southold Town".

Set 8:02 p.m., August 15, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as.the time and place for a public
heating on "A Local Law Regulating the Use of Motor-Driven Vehicles on Property of the
Town of Southold and on Privately Owned Property".
Authorize a 50% refund of a canceled building permit fee to Theodore Martz in the amount
of $229.20.
Authorize Supervisor Cochran to write a letter of opposition for Northeast Nuclear to
increase the capacity of spent fuel storage pool of the Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit
No. 3, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Refer the proposed zoning map changes annexed hereto to the Suffolk County Planning
Commission and the Southold Town Planning Board.
Set 8:05 p.m., August 15, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on proposed Local Laws for the zone map amendments.
Ratify the agreement with the Southold CSEA Local in relation to Bay Constable Andrew
Epple receiving acting foreman pay during a particular time.
Ratify the agreement with the Southold CSEA Local in relation to John Sepenoski receiving
compensation for off-hour telephone calls relating to cemputer assistance for a particular
time period.
Authorize the closure of Sound Avenue from Love Lane to the Church of the Redeemer,
Mattituck, on August 5, 2000, during the Mattituck Presbyterian Church "Annual Summer
Fair".
