Board on any given topic.

V._: RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
1. Authorize expenditure of $5,000 for Programs for the Aging, Capital Outlay for Motor
Vehicles, for the purchase of 3 buses as part of the Section 5310 Program.
2. Declare the improvements to the Downs Farm Preserve a Type II Action, per 6NYCRR
617.5 c(2).
3. Provisionally appoint Elizabeth Stathis to Records Management Assistant in the Town
Clerk's Office.
Set 8:00 p.m., September 12, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Adding Stop Signs at Broadwaters Drive,
Cutchogue'.
Determine that the Fishers Island Sewer District rent owed by Susan and Kevin Connelly for
the year 2000, which rent remains unpaid, shall be levied against their real property and shall
be collected with Town taxes.
6. Declare certain equipment as surplus and authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise
said equipment for sale by bid.
Authorize Supervisor Cochran to execute the necessary documents to amend the contract
dates for the LWRP Grant for the Road Ends Public Aceess and Stormwater Control
Improvements.

8. Authorize Supervisor Cochran to execute the necessary documents to amend the contract
dates for the LWRP Grant for the Mattituck Inlet Stormwater Plan.
9. Authorize the expenditure of $25,000 from the Waterways Improvement Program for
drainage projects submitted by Superintendent of Highways Raymond Jacobs.
10. Authorize modification to the Southold Town Solid Waste District 2000 budget for supply
of Town Garbage Bags.
11. Authorize modification to the Southold Town Solid Waste District 2000 budget for
Administration Holiday Pay.
12. Accept the bid of Island Wide Cesspool Sewer & Drain Co. for the removal, transportation
and disposal of scavenger waste from the Scavenger Waste Plant at Greenport.
13. Authorize the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for the construction of an engineered "cap"
for the Southold Town Landfill.
14, Authorize the Town Clerk to advertise for bids to construct a storage/restroom building at
Peconic Land Park.
15. Authorize the appraisal ora portion of property located at the intersection of Old North
Road and Young's Avenue, Southold (SCTM #1000-55-1-5.1) to be used for drainage
purposes.
16. Authorize Supervisor Cochran and Deputy Supervisor Murphy to execute a new Third
Party Custodian Agreement with the Suffolk County National Bank.
17. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for the position of Seasonal Police
Officers for the 2001 Summer Season.
18. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for the position of School Crossing Guard
for the Mattituck area.
19. Appoint Lisa M. Hellerman as a School Crossing Guard for the East Cutchogue post.
20. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with individuals for the
Fall 2000 Recreation Programs.
21. Declare accidental the loss of a single-entry fee revenue to the Solid Waste District and hold
harmless any employee(s) of the Solid Waste District with regard to such loss.

22. Authorize the closure of Cases Lane, Cutchogue, Saturday, October 7, 2000 during the
Annual Harvest Fair of the Mattituck Lioness Club.
23. Authorize bonding the construction of improvements at the Down's Farm Preserve Town
Park at Fort Corchaug in Cutchogue, the estimated maximum cost thereof being $210,000,
appropriating said amount through the issuance of serial bonds.
24. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute and file applications for funds from the
New York State Local Waterfront Revitalization Protection Fund.
25. Appoint Michelle Batz as a Seasonal Laborer on Fishers Island for mosquito control.
26. Waive single entry fee for vehicles picking up free wood chips at the disposal area.
27. Modify Covenants and Restriction relative to Mullen Motors Change of Zone.
28. Authorize Chick Voorhis to complete portion of Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan, per
his submitted proposal
29. Reappoint Robert VanBourgondien, Howard Dickerson, Leander Glover Jr., Stephen
Mudd, and Ralph Pugliese to the Agricultural Advisory Committee.
30. Approve $25 payment to Realtime Services to settle bill for conference microphones.
31. Reappoint Jonathan Wiggins as a member of the Board of Assessment Review.
32. Reappoint Michael Domino, Michael Shannon, Lawrence Catullo, James Glover, Robert
Kassoer, Sally Steiner, and Thomas Stevenson to the Tree Committee.
33. Approve a six-month temporary trailer permit for Michael and Barbara Pupino at August
Acres, due to a house fire.
34. Set 8:05 p.m., September 12, 2000, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on proposed amendment to Chapter 97, Wetlands Law.
35. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to readvertise for members of the Land Preservation
Committee.
36. Declare that the attorney of record in the action Jem Realty v. Town of Southold et al is
changed from Anthony Tohill to Gregory Yakaboski.

Authorize the expenditure of $25,000 for certain environmental projects from the $250,000
bond passed for the improvement and preservation of Town waterways.
Appoint Carlisle Cochran, Jr. to the position of Southold Town Police Cheil effective
September 1, 2000.
