WHEREAS, by resolution.a~opted, by this Town Board on the: 17th
August., 1965, a public hearing,.was authorized to be held in ,the matter
of the a~option of the "Good Order Ordinance",_ and

an opportunity to be ~eard, ~ .......
WHEREAS., this Board deems it in the best interest of. the Town of _South-
old that the Southold Town "Goo~ Order__~.O~.4!nance"i be adopted,.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That %he Town Board of the T~wn of
Southold enact the following Ordinance: to wit- .
"GOOD (~DER ORDINANCE"
Section 1. No person 'or ~ers0ns shall consume alcoholic beverages from
any container while operating .any kind of a vehicle, or as a passenger
of any kind of vehicle, or as a pedestrian on any public highways with-
· n the Town of Southold,
Section 2. Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordin-
ance shall be guilty of an offense, and conviction thereof shall be
punish_~.ble by imprisonment in the Co~unty Jail for a term not to ex-
ceed six months or by a fine not to exceed $§~.00, or both fine amd
imprisonment.
Section 3. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part of
this section shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction
to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate
the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the
clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part thereof, directly in-
volved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been
rendered.

WHEREAS, Burton Potter Post %185 American Legion, Greenport, N.Y.
applied to the T~rn Clerk for a Bingo License Amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest-
igation duly made findings and determinations as required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor Be and he hereby
is authorized and ~irected to execute on behalf of the Board the
findings and determinatiens required by law, and it is further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directod to issue
an amended Bingo License to the Burton Potter Post %185 American
Legion, Greenport, ~.Y.

WHEREAS, James J. Olsen, by'Petition verified the 13th day of July,
1965~ petitioned the Town Boar~ for a change of zone" on certain real
property described in said 'petition from "A" Kesidential and Agri=ult-
ural District to "B-2" BuBineSs District, and
WHEREAS, the said petition was referred to the Planning Board for
its official recommendation and report, and
WHEREAS~' the Town Boar~pursuant to ~ue notice thereof, held a hearing
on the' 7th day of September, 1965, at which time all interested persons
were given ~ an opportunity to'-~'be ~eard,
~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED:That the SOuthold Town Building-' Zone
Ordinance including the Building Zone Maps be amended-from "A" -Resid-
ential and Agriculural District to "B-2" Business District on the

Letters were received from the following: Mr. William Liebeknecht,

which he handled a boat~ing violation on the bay; frOm%the Cedar
Beach Park Association favoring an anti-noise control ordinance
which the .T~n Attorney is presently investigating; from Mayor
