WE, the undersigned,~ being members of th~ TOWn Board of the To%~ of
Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waivenOtice
of the time, place and purpose of the meeting of the Town Board to be
held at'Greenport, in the Town,of Southold, New York, on Tuesday,.
July 20, 1965, and do hereby ~onsent that'.the same be held on said
date for the transaction of any business which may properly come before

meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Albertson;.~.Councilmen Demarest and Valentine and Justice
Tuthill.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill;
RESf~VED: That Super. viSor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby, is
authorized to advertise for bids for one front end loader for use
at the Town disposal area. .
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justice T~thitl.. '
Moved by councilman Valentine; seconded by councilman Demarest;
WHEREAS, Greenpo~t .Fire Department,~GreenpOrt, N.Y. applied to the ~2
Town Clerk for a Bingo License, and - ~
WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest-
igation made findings and determinations as required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Board~the findings
and determinations required by law,and it :is fur.ther ~
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue
a Bingo License.to the Greenport Fire Department, Greenport, N.Y.

MEETING OF JULY 27, 1965.
The South~ld Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Leste~ M.
Albertson, at Greenport, N.Y. on July 27, 1965 with the following
present: Supervisor Albertson; COUncilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill
and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of July 13, 1965, be and they
are hereby approved.
Vote of Town oard: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine;
Justices Tuth~ll and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at
the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street,
Greenport, N.Y. on August 10, 1965, at 3:00 P.M.

WHEREAS,:'the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, Mattituck, N.Y. has request-
ed permission to use Sound Avenue for recreation and activities on
Saturday, August 7, 1965 from 6:00 P.M. until 11:00 P.M.,
NOW, THEREF. ORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Sound Avenue, Mattituck, N~Y..be-
tween Love Lane and Westphalia Road be closed, to the public traffic
on the hours~ and date. stated above.

WHEREAS, Robert H. Preston and LaGrant Chapman ha~e made application
to the Town Board dated March 22, 1965 to .dedicate a certain highway
at Greenport, N.Y., Town of Southold, to be known as Robinson. Road,
being~more fully described in said petition together with releases
executed by the owners thereof, and
WHEREAS, the Highway superintendent has inspected said highway and has
advised the Town Board that said proposed highway complies in all
respects to the specifications for~the dedication of highways in the
Town of Southold,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section 171
of the Highway Law of the state of New York consent be and the same is
hereby given wto the Superintendent of Highways to made an order laying
out the aforeSaid Highway to eoneist of lands described in said applic-
ation and shown on certain maps attached to said application and be it
further ~
RESOLVED: That the Town ~C!erk be and he hereby is authorized and direct-
ed to forthwith cause the dedication and release_to be recorded in
the office, of the Clerk of ~.the County of Suffolk, New -fork.

WHEREAS, Eastern Shores, Corp., Joseph M. Schneider, President, has
made written application to the Town Board dated July 8, 1965 to dedic-
ate certain highways at Greenport, New York, Town of S0uthold~ to be
known as SUTTON PLACE, McCA~N LANE, SOUND DRIVE and TASKER LABS,. being
more fully described in said petition together with releases ~xecuted
by the owners thereof, and
WHEREAS, the highway superintendent has inspected said~ highways add
has advised the Town Board that said proposed highways comply in all
r-espects to the specificiations ~for the dedication of highways in the
Town of Southo~d,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section 171

Southold, to be PJaown as JOCKEY CREEK DRIVE, being more fully d. escribed
in said petition together with releases executed by the owner thereof,

WHEREAS, the Highway superintendent has inspected said highway and has
advised the Town Board that s~ proposed highway comples in all respects
to the specifications for the dedication of highways in the Town of

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section 171

WHEREAS, ~tchogue Fire Departmest.requests permission to use the
parking .lot, which is under lease to.the ~Town_of Southold and sit-.
uated across the street from the CutchQgueFire Department, on
August 28, 1965,
RESOLVED: That the Cutchogue Fire Department be granted the use~ Qf
said parking lot on August 28, 1965.

WHEREAS, 'a petition was received from Irving L. price, representing
Rarus Inc.,. requesting a change of zone of certain property in Arsha-
momoque, New York, described in said petition from "A" Residential
and Agriculural District to "B-2" Business District, '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE Z~ RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of ~the T~wn of
Southold be and he h~reby is directed to ~transmit the application to
the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, S~bdivision C of
Article IX of the Building Zone Ordinance Df.the Town of Southold.

WHEREAS, Vitalino Caroleo~ applied tO .the Town Board~ for a change of
zone, ~ and
WHEREAS, Vitalino Caroleo withdrew his applicatl~on before it~had
been advertised and with no expense to the Town~
NOW,' THEREFORE, BE IT P~SOL~ED:'That the fee received for said change
of zone be returned_ to Mr. caroleo.
Vote ~ of Town Board: A yes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine;
Justices Tuthill and Clark.
The following l~tters were received by the Supervisor:
1. From Greenport Fire Department thanking the Town Board for immediate action
on their request for a Bingo License
2. From th~ Village of Greenport mequesting the Town Board to 'coDsider
a reduction in the amount of highway taxes to be paid by.~the~Viltage
of Greenport.
3. From WHNC-TV advising the Town Board that Southold Town will be
featured on TV in a speci$1~.~communit~y salute series sometime
in August. SUpervisor Albertson was authorized to assist bY
providing such information and services as are necessary.
4. From Southold Yacht Club requesting a fence ~etween the Town
Beach and the Yacht Club property.
Supervisor Albertson appointed Archibald Young, of Southold,
a member of the Suffolk iCo~nty Landmarks Preservation Committee.
