Albertson, at Greenport, New York, on June 7, 1965 with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Town Clerk Richmond; and the following were absent: Councilman Valentine; Justice Edwards. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting oflMay 18, 1965 be' and they are hereby approved. Vote of TOWn. Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthitl and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill~ WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and recommendation ~pon the petitions of Anna Hansen on property in Mattituck, N.Y. and William Pollert on propertyin Greenport, N.Y. for a change of' zone from "A" ~Residential and AgriUltmral District to "~-2" Business District, ~ ~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing wilI~be held by the Southold TOwn Board at the Supervisor's Office, Greenport, N.Y. on Friday, July 9, 1965 at 7:30 P.M. on the above mentioned petiitions and that'the Town Clerk be and hehereby is authoriz~ed and direCt'ed to'cause a notice of said hearing to be published in the Suffolk Weekly Times pursuant to the requirements of law. Albert§on be and he hereby is authorized to contribute half of the total cost up to but not to exceed the sum of $475.00 toward the cost of dredging the entrance of Wickham's Creekat Fleets Neck, Cutchogue, N.Y. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold approves the action of the commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry-District on the re-appointment of Thomas A. Murphy to the positionLof Attendant at the New London Dock of the Ferry District for the summer of 1965 at the rate of $60.00 per week, payable monthly and effective May 25', 1965. MovOd by Justice clar~; ~seconded by Councilman Demarest~ RESOLVED: That the Town Board of~the Town of Southold approves the action of the Commissioners of the Fishers Is/an~ Ferry District on operating the Theatre again this year with the following positions and salaries:- Supervisor-Cashier- Edwin Hoening - $55.00°per week Projectionist-Richard Baker - $8.50 per show " Ernest Middleton - $8.50 per show Alternate Projectionist - J. B. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized tom,kc application to'U.S. Corp. of Engineers for the necessary repairs to the timber piles structure at the entrance of Silver Eel Cove, Fishers Island, New York. Moved by Justice Tuthill;seconded by'Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That Harlan Johns, Fishers Island, N.Y. be appointed Special Bay Constable to police town waterways at Fishers Island,with no compensation from the Town. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, residents of Kimogenor Point have requested the Town Board t0 regulate the speed of boats in said creek, New Suffolk, N.Y., NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That no person shall operate a boat in the~channel at Kimogenor Point, New Suffolk, N.Y. at a speed greater than five (5) miles an hour and be it further. RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and- directed to cause notice of such speed limit to be posted in approp- riate places in said creek channel. Albertson be authorized to have Otto VanTuyl & Son, Surveyors, make maps of our creeks for use by the Town Trustees and Planning Board.
