We enclose herewith an original and copy of a notice to the Town of SouthoId
of an application which we are, preparing on behaIf of Mrs. Helen Hildegarde
Hawkins for an easement under the waters of Orient Harbor.

OF SECTION 3, SUBDIVISION 2 OF THE PUBLIC LANDS LAW.

In the Matter of
the Application of
HELEN HILDEGARDE HAWKINS
for a grant of easement in land under water at EAST
MARION, IN THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD. SUFFOLK
COUNTY, NEW YORK.
NOTICE
TO: TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
You are hereby notified that it is the intention of the undersiimed
to apply on the 23rd day of August , 1965, to the Office of General
Services, 143 Washin~ton Avenue, Albany, New York, for a grant of ease-
ment, pursuant to the provisions of Section 3, Subdivision 2, of the Public
Lands Law, to land under water of the State of New York, briefly described
as follows: Land under waters of Orient Harbor, at East Marion, in the
Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, bein~ 6 feet wide and extendir~
75 feet into Orient Harbor,
for the purpose of constructing a wood jetty extendin~ 75 feet offshore from
the mean high water mark.
If you believe yourself to be liable to injury by reason of such ~rant of
easement to the undersized, you should, on or kefore such date, file with
the Office of General Services, 143 Washington Avenue, Albany, New York,
a remonstrance stating your objections and your reasons for opposir~ the
grantin~ of such easement.
The upland of the undersized is briefly described as follows:
ALL that parcel of land being situate at East Marion,
in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, bounded
as follows:
North by the Main Road (State Route #25);
East by lands of Denise Limouze;
South by Orient Harbor; and
West by lands of August Steinhart.
