HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005MATTITUCK FIRE DISTRICT CERTIFICATE OF RESULT OF ANNUAL FIRE DISTRICT ELECTION The undersigned _Elizabeth Ficner [Chairperson of the Election] _Jill Doherty , ~Madeline Haas , and ~Gerald Goehfinger Inspectors and Ballot Clerks, DO HEREBY CERTIFY AS FOLLOWS: RECEIVED $outhold Town That each of us is a resident elector of the Mattituck Fire District in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and that pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Fire District on the 13th day of December, 2005, we were appointed to the offices set forth above in connection with the annual election of the Fire District held on the 13th day of December, 2005 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, prevailing time, for the purpose of electing one commissioner to the Board of Fire Commissioners; Prior to the opening of the polls, each ballot to be used at the annual election had been examined. After the polls had dosed for said election, we immediately canvassed the ballots cast. Inspection of such ballots disclosed the following results: Total Number of Ballots Cast Number of Void Ballots Election of Fire District Commissioner Complete table with name of candidates receiving votes and number of votes received Candidate's Name [print] tO- -my/e c Number of Votes Received Upon the completion of such canvas, the Chairperson of the election publicly announced the result thereof. A tree, correct, and complete copy of the official ballot used at said election is attached hereto and made a part hereof. On the 8th day of December 2005, a meeting of the Inspectors of Election was held at the time and place specified in the resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners 2005. adopted October 25th, 2005. At said meeting, a register of all persons entitled to vote in the election was prepared containing the names of all persons residing in the Fire District and qualified to vote in said election whose names were on the registration list certified and supplied to the Fire District by the Suffolk County Board of Elections as of a date twenty-three days before the date of said election. All of the votes described above were of voters whose names appear on the register prepared at such meeting.
