After the area to be treated has been prepared to the satisfaction of the Highway Superintendent, an application of bituminous material (50% MC 250 and 50% RC 250 liquid Asphalt) shall be applied at the rate of three tenths of a gallon per square yard and immediately covered with screened sand at the rate of 40 lbs. per square yard.
