Dear Mr. Cuddy:
The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey dated
July 31, 2000 and determined the proposed addition to the
existing house to be out of the Wetland jurisdiction, under
Chapter 97 of the Town Wetland Code.
However, any activity within 75' of the Wetland line would
require a permit from this office.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency.

Re: Maratooka Lake House Extension Application - Cuddy
Gentlemen:
Enclosed is a map of the property at Marratooka Lake in Mattituck showing a
proposed addition to the existing house to enlarge the bathroom. As shown on the
map, the addition is landward of the existing dwelling, and is 77 feet from the lake.
The house pre-exists the zoning code and the addition does not involve any
excavation, but will rely upon a orawlspace as the building's foundation. The house
is set back on land which is 15 feet above the lake level.
Michael Verity of the Southold Town Building Department was informed by Lauren
Standish of your ofiice that this map should be submitted in order to obtain a letter
of No Jurisdiotion. It is my understanding that your jurisdiction extends 75 feet from
the edge of the fresh water. Nevertheless, in order to comply with the Building
Department's request, please issue a No Jurisdiction letter.
Very truly yours,
Charles R. Cuddy
