South old , NY 11971 RE: SCTM#1000-89-2-1 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Madden: In response to your letter dated November 14, 2005, the Board of Trustees has reviewed your request to install water and electric to the existing docking facility and is familiar with the property. Based on this review, the Board determined that the installation of water and electric through the fragile marsh would be environmentally too difficult. If you have any questions, please contact our office. Very truly yours, ~/?~.(} Albert J. MADDEN DEPUTY CLERK~TREASURER ERASMUS I. TAFURO HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER June 28, 2001 Board of Trustees TOWN OF SOUTHOLD P. O. Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Dear Sir: My name is Barbara J. Madden. I am the Deputy Clerk/Treasurer of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, and have been for eleven years. I am also on the Beautification Committee and my husband, Mark, is an active member of the Planning Board of the Village. The purpose of this letter is to request a site inspection of the property which we hope to buy in your town on Cedar Beach Road. We hope to build our "dream house" on six acres adjacent to the water on Cedar Beach Road. We have the survey of the property and will build a beautiful farmhouse looking house within the "envelope" that we are permitted to use. The problem that we have is that we have inquired in person, and by phone, as to how many trees we can remove on the property. We were told that a fifty foot buffer must be ma'mtained on the road. The reason that we wanted to purchase this property was to be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the water. We would plant a beautiful lawn with perennial gardens and also plant perennials on our side of the road. In no way would we remove all of the trees, but instead seek your approval as to which ones we could remove as to afford us the best view. Since we are involved with the Village of Muttontown, we are well aware of many of the rules and regulations of local governments. Enclosed is a copy of the survey along with our check for $40 to cover the site inspection. We understand that this will be on July l 8, and we hope to be present to speak to you. We want very much to be able to build in the beautiful Town of Southold, and will maintain the country feeling of the town. We look forward to meeting with you. Enc. Sincerely yours, Barbara J. Madden
