Inc. 1329 North Sea Road Southampton, NY 11968 Re: Gene Bolter SCTM #1000-111-14-36 .1 & 36 . 3 Dear Mr. Haje: The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during its regular meeting held on Thursday, March 25, 1993 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, En-Consultants on behalf of Gene Bolter applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated November 30, 1992 and, WHEREAS said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on March 25, 1993 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees approves the application of En-Consultants on behalf of Gene Bolter to construct a 4' X 12' hinged ramp off existing bulkhead, and a 6' X 20 ' float secured by ( 2) 2 pile dolphins. permit will expire two years from the date it is signed. Therefore, no permit is required under the Tidal Wetlands Act (Article 25 of the Environmental Conservation Law) . Please be advised, however , that no construction, sedimentation or disturbance of any kind may take place seaward of the 10 ' contour or topographic crest without a permit . It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation in this area as a result of your project . Such precautions may include providing adequate work area between the 10 ' contour or topographic crest and the project ( i .e. a 15 ' to 20 ' wide construction area) or erection of a temporary fence, barrier , or hay bale berm. Please note that any additional work or modification to the project as described, may require authorization by this Department . Please contact this office if such are contemplated. Per our discussion at that time, we would like to request a predesign conference meeting on September 26 , 1991 on behalf of our client Mr. Eugene Bolter, who is the contract vendee of the property described on the enclosed survey. Both Mr. Bolter and myself plan to be in attendance at that time and would like to discuss the most advantageous location of a future swimming pool with the Trustees. Since the pro- perty exhibts some substantial changes in elevation, Mr. Bolter is having a thorough topographic survey perpared which will include establishing the 10 foot contour line for D.E.C. nonjurisdictional purposes . Since the upland edge of wetlands in the area we will ultimately be concerned with appears to be very straight forward in this instance, if possible, we would like to flag this line at the meeting. We can then have the surveyor locate it for us as part of his topo field work. Both ourselves and Mr. Bolter feel that this piece of property exhibits enough unique characteristics to warrant the request for predesign input from the Trustees at this time . This will then allow us to address and incorporate any concerns of the Trustees as an integral part of the project design . If you require any further information prior to the meeting please don 't hesitate to give me a call .
