Mattituck, NY 11952 RE: 3945 CAMP MINEOLA RD., MATTITUCK SCTM#123-5-30 Dear Mr. Long: The following action was taken by the Southold Town Board of Trustees at their Regular Meeting held on Wed., November 14, 2007: WHEREAS, PAUL LONG applied to the Southold Town Trustees for an Amendment to Wetland Permit #6229 under the provisions of Chapter 275 of the South old Town Code, the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated November 5,2007, and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council and to the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Coordinator for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, the LWRP Coordinator issued a recommendation that the application be found Consistent with the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program policy standards, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, . 2 . Box 2003 Bridgehampton, NY 11932 RE: PAUL LONG 3945 CAMP MINEOLA RD., MATTITUCK SCTM#123-5-30 Dear Mr. Anderson: The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on October 19, 2005 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, Suffolk Environmental Consulting, Inc. on behalf of PAUL LONG applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated September 7, 2005, and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on October 19, 2005, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of PAUL LONG to demolish the existing dwelling and construct a 38'X 41' two-story frame dwelling on pilings, with 10'X 32' porch attached to southern side, and to install a new sanitary system, with the condition drywells and a french drain are installed to contain the roof run-off, and a line of staked haybales is installed before the project begins, and all as depicted on the survey prepared by Joseph A. The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 95, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the LWRP provided that the Board of Trustees applies the following Policy and sub-policies to minimize flooding risk to the greatest extent practical. Policy 4.1 "Minimize losses of human life and structures from flooding and erosion hazards." The following management measures to minimize losses of human life and structures from flooding and erosion hazards are recommended: specifically A. Minimize potential loss and damage by locating development and structures away from flooding and erosion hazards. Move existing development and structures as far away from flooding and erosion hazards as practical. Maintaining existing development and structures in hazard areas may be warranted for: structures which functionally require a location on the coast or in coastal waters. water-dependent uses which cannot avoid exposure to hazards. sites in areas with extensive public investment, public infrastructure, or major public facilities. sites where relocation of an existing structure is not practical.
