Dear Mr. Boufis, On 5/11/04, I inspected the 2°d floor balcony flaming and the solid blocking in the floor joists and stair walls. The five foot cantilevered balcony fiuming was constructed with 2x10 Microlams @ 12"o/c tied back to the central bearing wall. All framing was adequately sized and properly installed and was acceptable. Also, as requested, I inspected the solid wood blocking installed at the center spans of all Is'and 2°d floor floor systems as well as blocking in the wall adjacent to the stair stringers. All blocking was properly installed and was acceptable. All electrical wire and piping penetrations were also inspected and all penetrations were properly sealed with red fire retardant caulking as required. Dear Mr. Boufis, In addition to the basement girder changes from Microlams to Anthony Power beams and garage ceiling joists changed from Douglas Fir 2x10 to 2x10"All Joist"wood I- beams (addressed in prior letters dated 4/22/04),the following two minor changes were also made and are addressed here in lieu of revising the drawings. • The rear I"floor wood deck was modified slightly to have a slight comer triangular bump out to add some aesthetic appeal to the deck. • A basement entrance was added at the rear of the house. A drain and drywell at the basement stair and wrought iron handrail and top railings were also installed as required.
