plan before new foundation, the site plan after the
construction of new foundation and the new plans
for the new restaurant The building as it now
exists is unrepairable and should be demolished so
that the building to be erected will meet all
of the requirements of both the New York State
Building Code and the Southold Building Code.

Dear Mike:
The reason for the demolition of the building is because it is not sound. The existing
structure did not meet any current code and prior construction was completed without
the proper permitting.
The physical condition was atrocious. There was not a level floor in the building.
Materials used for vadous additions and extensions were substandard. The kitchen
floor was buckled and caved-in at the center. The second floor storage space was
chaned from a previous fire.
It is not possible to salvage any part of something that is not salvageable. This building
was an utter mess and the only resolve is to build new.

Project Description: To demolish the existing two-story frame building leaving
in place the existing foundation.
Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code. The
issuance of the Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on
the survey prepared by Martin D. Hands dated December 3, 2004.
Special Conditions: A line of staked hay bales and a snow fence must be
installed along the bulkhead prior to demolition in order to prevent any debris
from going into the water.
If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, a
Wetland Permit will be required.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I have visited the site, reviewed both surveys
of Hands on Surveying (Martin D. Hand, LS), one
dated 1/29/05 showing the dimensions for the outline
of the footprint of the former above mentioned
restaurant, the second survey revised 4/28/05
locating the outline of the new foundation, and
reviewed the plan of the Mill Creek Restaurant
Renovation by Principi Builders Inc sheet A-5
showing the foundation of such renovation.
It is noted that on the east side of the
building the first survey shows an original bump
out of 6', the second survey shows two steel beams
and A-5 drawing shows a bump outof 6'-11 5/16".
Drawing A-5 will be amended to show a bump out of 6'
With this amendment,
of the proposed Mill Creek Restaurant is within
the footprint of the former restaurant.

sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
