Proposed Permit for Joanne and William Turnbull, James
Located: 54005 North Rd., Southold.
SCTM#1000-52-1~l.1
JOANNE & WILLIAM TURNBULL requests a Wetland Permit & Coastal Erosion Permit to
construct a 14.5'X 19' addition to an existing attached deck. All new structures are located in
Flood Zone X. The residential addition is located outside of the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area.
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 95, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfi:ont Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation
that the proposed action is generally CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and
therefore is CONSISTENT with the LWRP provided the following best management
practices are implemented.
1. Require erosion and sediment controls (haybales, silt fencing) to protect the
wetland system.
Require water quality protection measures for constructed areas generating
runoff (gutters, downspouts and dry wells).
Pursuant to Chapter 95, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing
its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
