The issuance of an Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on the plan prepared by Costello Marine Contracting Corp., dated March 3, 2008, and received on April 9, 2008. Special Conditions: None. Inspections: Final inspection. If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, a Wetland Permit will be required. Box 777 Egst Marion, NY 11939 RE: Bulkhead Estimates for 340 Knoll Circle, Ehst Marion Dear Ms. Egan: As per request, I have inspected your existing bulkhead in East Marion and I am submitting two estimate options for your review and consideration. .~ption Repair Existing 1: Bulkhead We would repair the existing 63' of face bulkheading by installing ¼" high density poly- ethylene (ItDPE) sheets on the front of the bulkhead. Wc would fasten thc ItPDE sheets with stainless steel ring nails. Our estimated price to complete the repair as described is $3,675. Permits If this option is chosen, prior to any scheduling of work, we will need the proper permits/authorizations from the Town of Southold Board of Trustees and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC). Option 2: Replacing Existing Bulkhead We would completely remove and dispose of the 63' of face bulkhead. We would then replace it using the following materials: 10"x 16' face piling, 6' oncenter · Vinyl interlocking sheathing, 12' in length · Three 6" x 6" CCA wales · 2" CCA top cap · Backing system consisting of 1" x 12' tie rods connected to a double backing system · All hardware will be hot dipped galvaniz~ Egan, p. 2 3/3/08 The estimated cost for the replacing the 63' of bulkhead, as outlined above, is $475 per foot for a total cost of $29,925. Permits If Option 2 is chosen, permits will be necessary from the Town of Southold Board of Trustees, the NYSDEC, the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) and the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS). All necessary permits from the governing agencies will be the responsibility of the owner. Construction will include the excavation landward of said bulkhead to install the proposed sheathing, and the backfilling of same with the existing excavated material. All activity will occur landward of the existing timber bulkhead facility, with the condition of a 10' non turf buffer landward of the bulkhead, and all as depicted on the plans prepared by Suffolk Environmental Consulting Sept.8,2005. Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date the permit is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Inspections are required at a fee of $50.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.)
