~ MEETING OF OCTOBER 7, 1966 ~
The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester
M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on October 7, 1966.
The meeting was cailed to order a~ 3:00 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tut-
hill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Superintendent of Highways Dean
and Town Clerk Richmond ....
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED:' That the minutes'of October 4, 1966 be and they hereb~ are
approved

RESOLVEDf That the next meeting Of the Town Board will be held.at the
offiCe~of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Green-
port, New York, on Tuesday, October,18, 1966, at 3:00--P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen ~emarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by 'Councilman Valentine; seconded by CounCilman Demarest;
WH~REAS~ a letter has been received from Patrolman William P. ~Boken
tendering his resignation from the Southold Police Department as of
October 7, 1966, and
Wi~EREAS, Patrolman Boken has served the Town in a satisfactory manner
for the past nine years, and therei~s accrued leave due to him,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That this Town Board accepts with re-
gret the resignation of Patrolman William Boken as of this date, and
directs that his salary and accrued leave be paid to him.

and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVE~: Chief Joseph Sawicki and Patrolman Stanley Droskoski of the
Southold To~n Police Department be and they hereby are authorized to
attend Community College, and it is further
RESOLVED: That tuition and necessary equipment while attending said
college be a legal charge against the Town up to but not to exceed
the sum of $45.00.

NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and directed to,execute on behalf of 'the Town Board the
findings~and determinations as required by law, and it is further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby ~s directed to issue ·
a Bingo License to the Marian Council %3852, Knights of Columbus,
Cutchogue, New York.

RESOLVED: That this Town Board does hmreby prepare and approve as the

1st day of January 1967, the itemized statement of estimated revenues
and expenditures hereto attached and made a part of,_this resolution,

FURTHER RESOLVED: That such preliminary budget shall be filed in the
office of the Town Clerk.where it shall be available for inspection
by/in erested person,at all reasonalbe hours, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That this BoaEd shall meeb atL3:00 o'clock p.m. on
the 9th day of November, 1966, for the purpose of holding a public
hearing ~pon such preliminary budget, and be it
~FURTHER RESOLVED: That the .Town Clerk ~.give notice of such hearing in
the manner provided in Section~ll3 of the Town.Law, and that such not-

Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the~Town~of~ South-
Old will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold ~ pu~li~.

RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highways, Raymond~E. Dean~ be
and he hereby is authorized to hire a building in Orient, N.Y. for
storage of equipmeht~of the Highway Department,-and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Town Attorney, Robert Tasker, be instructed to
draw up said contract for the Town of Southold.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor AlbertsOn; Councilman Valentine;
Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by JuStice Clark; seconded by Councilman valentine;
RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $7,210.56; Lighting
District Bills in the amount of $3,759.78 and Highway Bills in
the-amount of $27,637.10 be and the same are hereby ordered paid.
Voteof Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine;
Justices Tuthill and, Clark.

Albertson, 16 South S~reet, Greenport~ N.Y. on October 18, 1966. The
meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices
Tuthill and. Clark; Supt. of Highways Dean; Town Attorney Tasker and
Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by JustiCe Tuthill:

Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson;~ Councilmen Demarest

RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the
office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson~ 16 South Street,
Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, November 9, 1966 at 3:00 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill;
RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of Southold be author-
ized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest responsible
bidder, one (1) new 1967 International Dump Truck, or equal.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
WHEREAS, Roy C. Shelin applied to the Town Board for a single trailer
renewal permit dated October 10, 1966,
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Roy C. Shelin
for a renewal of his trailer application is hereby granted for a period
of six (6) months°
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valenti~; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by CounciLman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That Henry Stepnoski Jr., Southold, N.Y. be and hereby is
appointed Police Patrolman of the Town of Southold, N.Y., and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That Henry Stepnoski Jr. will serve in the capacity
of Police Patrolman of the Town of Southold at the pleasure of the
Town Board unless otherwise provided for, and
