The Southotd Town Board met'at-the office of the Supervisor~ Lester

RESOLVED: ~ That the~ minutes, of June 7, 1966 be and they hereby are
approved.

WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an 6fficial report
and recommendation upon the petition of Casbor, Inc. for a change of
zone from A esldent~al and Agriculural District to "B-2" Business
Distric~ on certain property in Mattituck,~ New York~
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held
at the Supervisor's Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, by
the ,Town. Board on July 26, 1966 at 7:30 P.M. on the above mentioned
petition and that the Town Clerk be and he_ hereby is authorized ~nd
directed to cause a notice of said hearing to be published in the
Long .Island Traveler-Mattituck WatChman pursuant to the requriements
of law.

RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold
~be au~thorized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest
responsible bidder one (1): new 1966 International one-half ton pick-up
or equal. One (1) 1958 International pickup must be taken in trade as
. pa~t paynlent'on the new truck.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT:RESOLVED: ThatRaymond Dean, Supt. of Highways,
he,and' here~y.is authorized to issue a permit to Robert Hamilton,
Goose Bay, outhold, N.Y. said permit to be drawn by Attorney Tasker
to maintain~a well point and water pipe under townpropert~.

A letter was received from Attorney Wiltiam'~ Wickham, Esq. on behalf of
Albert Harker Estate requesting, the discontinuance of a small p~rtion
of Hamilton Ave., Mattituck, N-.Y. ~It was suggested that Attorne~ Wickham
file.the necessary papers fOr-the 'approval~-'the Town Board.'-

WHEREAS, the~Cubchogue-New Suffolk Historical'Society,. Cutchogue,~N.Y.
has requested-the permission of'~the Town Board to use Cases~Lane for
recreation and activfties on J~ly'9,~1966 from 8:00 A.M. to 6:.00. P.M.
and on August 13'., ~966 from. 6:00 P.M-. to.midnight, ·
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ~T RESOLVED: That Cases-Lane, Cutchogue,~ ~.Y~
closed to the public traffiC-from Route 25 .to the.first private, drive-
way on Cases Lane, on the dates and hours above stated.

New York, for a change of name~of said-North ~Road to ~ickham Avenue, and
WHE~ the Town Boa~rd acted upon said request,
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE-IT RESOLVED:~ That North~Road, opposite the present
Wickham ~ven~e, Mattituck, shall conbinue north and east to Route 27A
and shall hereafter be known'-as WickhamAvenue.

and building under 850 sq. ft.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request
the Long Island Lighting Company to install the following overhead
street lights:

Luthers Lane, Mattituck, N.Y. 100 cp on LILCO pole $43
Naugles-Drive, M~ttituck, N.Y. 100 cp on LILCO poles $7, 11 and 14.
all'in the Mattituck Light District.

WHEREAS, Southold American Legion G.T.G. Post $803, Southold, N.Y.
applied to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License Amended, and
WHEREAS, the Town board has examined the application and after investig-
ation duly made findings and determinations as required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE ,IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be 'and he hereby is
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Board the findings
and determinations required by law, and it is further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue an
Amended Bingo License to the Southold American Legion G.T.G. Post $803,
Southold N.Y.

RESOLVED: That .Raymond Dean, Supt. of Highways and Albert W. Richmond,
Town Clerk, be and they hereby are authorized to attend Highway and
Town Clerk School in Ithaca, N.Y. at Cornell University on July 11,
12 and 13, 1966, and b e it further
RESOLVED: That the necessary expenses incurred while attending said
school be a legal charge against the Town.

RESOLVED: That this Town Board disapproves Of the bulkhead being const-
ructed in the Mattituck Inlet by Lizza Asphalt Construction Company.
Supervisor Albertson was instructed to contact the Town Trustees .

A letter was received from Katherine Nutley protesting the dumping on
Bay Avenue, Mattituck, NoY. Supervisor Albertson was advised by the
Board to take the proper steps to terminate this habit.
Mr. Nichols and his partner appeared before the Town Board protesting
the Good Humor Trucks's selling Ice Cream from the highway in front
of the concession stand operated by them and leased from the Mattituck
Park District. Supervisor Atbertson will investigate said protest.
