On S~eptember 12, 1967, with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Superintendent of Highways Dean; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine; RESOLVED: That 'the minutes of August 8, 1967, and the Fishers Island meeting of August 22, 1967 be and hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Gr~enport~ N.Y. on Tuesday, September 26, 1967, at 3:00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. At 3:00 P.M. in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids were opened for proposals to furnish to the Town.of Southold one' (1) new automatic tax extension computer. Only two bids were submitted as follows:- National Cash Register Co. ~ $17~280.00 Trade-in 380.00 Balance $16,900.00 Burroughs Corporation Trade-in Balance - $17,800.00 4,100.00 - $13,700.00 Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine; WHEREAS, the Town Board reported that the lowest bid on the new aut- omatic tax extension computer was submitted by the Burroughs Corporation, RESOLVED: That Lester M. Albertson, Supervisor, be and he hereby~is directed to enter into a contract with Burroughs Corporation for the purchase of a new tax extension computer in accordance With bids 's~i%ted. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Town Board approves the action of the Planning Board ma~e at their regular meetinq of September'6[ 1967, as follows: It was RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Planning Board approves the amendment to the Rules and R6gulations for the Subdivision of Land, Town of Southold, and that the Southold Town Planning Board submit these Rules and Regulations to the Southold Town Board for their approval, the Planning Board having held a hearing on these amendments with no objections to them. Demarest Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. 413 Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine; Wt~EREAS, the Southold Town Police Benevolent Association, Inc. was incorporated on September 6, I96~, and paragraph 3 of its Certificate of Incorporation prohibits said Southold Town Police Benevolent Assoc- iation, Inc. fr6m acting as a collective bargaining agent for the mem- ice bers of the Pol . .Department of the Town Of SOuthold, and WHEREAS,' in'-accordanc~ with A'rticle 14 of the Civil Service Law as added by Chapter 392, Laws of 1967, said Southold Town Police Bene- volent Association, Inc'. desires to act as an Employee Organization of the ~olthhold Town Police Department and proposes to amend its Certificate of Incorporation so as to permit it to act as such Employee Organization, and has applied to the Town Board of the Town of South- old to consent and approve the proposed amendment to the Certificate of I~brporation, NOW, 'TH~REFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: 1.
