Albertson at Greenportl New York, on Tuesday, May 23, 1967 with~ the following present: Supervisor AlbertSOn; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark;. superintendent of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill; RESOLVED: That the minutes of May 9, 1967, be and they are hereby approved. Vote Of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen 'Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest~ ~ RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held~at the office of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson, 16~South Street, Greenport, New York, on Friday, June 9, 1967 at 3:00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen.Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. ~ Moved by Justice Tuthill; seeonded~by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, Roy A. Schelin has applied to.the' Town Board for .a ~s~ngle trailer renewal permit dated May 10, 1967, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the applieation of Ray A. Schelin to locate a single trailer on his property,~ John's Road (Private Road). E/S Main Road, Mattituck, New York, be and~hereby is granted for a six (6) month period. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, John J. Klein, Sr. has applied to the Town Board for a ~single trailer'renewal permit dated May 18, 1967, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application~of John J.. Klein, Sr. to locate a single trailer on his property, Private~Road, ~/S Main Road, Mattituck, N.Y. be and hereby is granted for a six (6.) month period.? Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Valentine; RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request the Long Island Lighting Company to install one (1) 175 MVOH street light on ~kC~ pole ~ ~o on Main Road (Route 25) in Cutchogue, N.Y. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he is authorized to sign the necessary papers for the Town of Southold to join the New York State Suburban Conference, and to pay the dues in the amount of $50.00. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervzsor Albertson; ouncitmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. ~ Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That Supervzsor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized'to sign the necessary papers to sell to the County of Suffolk the sump on Tuckers Lane, Southold, for drainage purposes for the new county road, the proposed price being $1,000.00. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS~ American Legion Auxiliary G.T.~. Post ~803, Southold, N.Y. applied to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License, and WHEREAS~ the Town Board has examined the application and after invest- igation duly made findings and determinations as required by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Town Board the findings and determinations as required by law, and it is further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue a Bingo L~cense to the American Legion Auxiliary G.T~G. Post ~803, Southold. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and. Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine; W~EREAS, Casbor, Inc. by petition verified the 3rd day of October, 1966, petitioned-the~ Town Board fo~ change of zone of certain real property described in said petition from "A" Residential and Agricul~ral District to-"B" BusinesS District~in Mattituck, New York, and WHEREAS, the said petition was referred to the Planning Board for its official recommendation and report, and WHEREAS, the Planning Board has'filed it's official report with the Town Board, and WHEREAS, "the Town Board pursuant to due notice thereof, held a hearing thereon on the 24th day Of January, 1967, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to'be heard, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the relief demanded in said petition of casbor, Inc. be and the same is in.all respects DENIED. Moved by Justice Tuthilt; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, ~the County of Suffolk proposes to dredge certain, areas of LOnG CREEK in the Town of Southold, which dredging will be p~rformed by County owned dredging equipment at a nominal cost to~he ~own Of $outhold, and WPL~REAS, in order to accomplish said dredging, plans, specifications, agreements and other documents must be executed on behalf Of the Town of Southold, ~ ~ NOW, T~ERE~ORE, BE IT~R~SOLVED: That the Supervisor. be and. he hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town of Southold, all necessary plans and specifications, spoil area agreements, assurances to the County of Suffolk, license and/or dredging~permit applications to Eederal and State Agencies and all other documents that may be required to accomplish said dredging work. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill; WHEREAS, the County of Suffolk owns and operates~'a dredge a~di~other equipment suitable for dredging channels and depositing~fill on des- ignated areas, and WHEREAS, the~Town of Southold..has requested that~the said dredge be used. in connection with the dredging of LONG CRE~K, Town of Southold, as shown on the accompanying maps and specifications, and-~ WHERE~S, the Supervisor of the Town of Southold by resolution-duly' adopt- ed by like Town Board of said Town of Southold has been authorized and directe~ to sign for and on behalf of the Town of Southold assurances to-the County o~ S~ffolk, that the said Town of So~hold wilt perform all acts required to be performed by said-Town'in connection with~.the preparation for the dredging operation as aforesaid and-obtaining of all necessary easements and rights of way for said dredging operation and use of areas i~dicated on the attached~map for spoil~ areas together, with all necessary crights incidental to said dredging operation; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the benefitS-.to~ the Town of Southold, as aforesaid, the Town of Southold hereby assures..the County of S~ffolk that it will: (1) Furnish, free of cost to the County of Suffolk, all lands, easements, rights of way and spoi~ disposal areas necessary for the new work and ~ubsequent~maintenanCe when and if required for the dredging ope~ations.a~ LONG CR~EK~ all as~shown on the attached map, and (2) Hold and sa~e. the County of Suffolk~free from any claims or damages resulting from said improvement or r.esulting in'any way from the said dredging operation or the use of equipment at the said LOnG CREEK, or use of any spoil area or any other ar~a affected by said dredging oper- ation~ Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
