Moved by Justice Ciark; seconded by Councilman.Demarest; WHEREASi this Board is persuaded that the interests of its citizens ~n County mat~ers would best be served if such matters were ~onfined to a County embracing the five eastern Towns of Suffolk County, i~ ~s RESOL~VED: That this Board favors the introduction and enactment of leg- islatioh~which would create a new county comprising the Towns of Riverhead, ~asthampton, Southampton, Shelter Island and Southold, and memor-ializes the legislators representing such towns in the State Leg- islature to-draft, introduce and to use their best efforts to accompl- ish the passage of legislation designed to that end.
