for November 26, 1968 was recessed until December 3, 1968, due ~o the
fact that Supervisor Lester M. Albertson was unable to attend the meet-
ing since he had to attend a County Budget meeting. ~ ~
The meeting reconvened on Tuesday, December 3, 1968, with the foIlow-
ing present: Supervisor Lester M. Albertson; Councilmen DemareSt and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter; Town Attorney Tasker; Superinten-
dent of Highways Dean and Town Clerk Richmond.

RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of November 7, 1968 be and
they are hereby approved. ~ ~

RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Southold Town Board will be held
at the office of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Green-
port, N.Y. on Tuesday, December 10~ 1968, at 3;00 P.M.

RESOLVED: That the reports of Supervisor Albertson, Building Inspector

November 1968 be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file.

WHEREAS, PETITIONS WERE RECEIVED FRO~ TPLE FOLLOWING:

WHEREAS, Norman E. Klipp for the past thirty-five years has been a
dedicated public servant as a member of the Southold Town Board from
1934 to 1960, as Supervisor of ~he Town of Southold from 1948 to 1960,
and as County Clerk of the County of Suffolk from 1960 to the present
time, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board desires to take this opportunity on the eve
of his re~i~m~nfrom public office to evidence the gratitude of the
community for the years of excellent, intelligent, energetic service
Norman E. Klipp has rendered the. Town of Southold and the County. of
Suffolk, during his incumbency, and
WHEREAS, while serving as Supervisor of the Town of Southold, he
inaugurated the acquisition by the Town of land at Gull Pond and the
dredging of the waters in said vicinity for the creation of a Town
recreation area,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in~eo~io~f~his services to
the Town of Southold, the Town recreation area at Gull Pond shall be
henceforth known as Norman E. Klipp Marine Parkc

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is auth-
orized to appoint an Attorney to represent the Town of South~ld in court
in the cases of Frank S. Rosenberg, Edna B~nnett and Grace Raymond, he
to be paid~a reasonable compensation for his services.

WHER~AS~ the Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold entered
an order in the Town Clerk's Office dated August 13, 1968 wherein and
whereby portions of Bay Avenue and King Street at Orient, ~ew York, were
duly ascertained, described and entered on said records, and
WHEREAS, as a consequence thereof the boundaries of said town highways
have been definitely established, and
WHEREAS, The Title Guarantee Company has been requested to insure the
title to the premises owned by David C. Spohn and Eli~or J. Spohn
bounding Bay Avenue on the west and said title company has requested
that a quitclaim deed from the Town of Southold be executed and delivered
whereby the Town of Southold quitclaims any~interest it may have to any
property lying to the west of the west boundary iine of Bay Avenue as
so established,
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Sup~visor be and hereby is
authorized and directed to executee, acknowledge and deliver an instrument
re, easing and quitclaiming any interest which the Town of Southold may
have in and to any property lying to the west of the westerly line of
Bay avenue as the same has been ascertained and described in the ~fore-
mentioned order of the Superintendent of Highways dated August 13,% 1968.
