WHEREAS, Justice L. B. Hill has made application to the Town-Board to
dedicate a certain road at Southold, 'N.Y. to be known as HARPERS ROAD,
more fully described in said petition'to~ether with~rele~ses executed
by the owner thereof, and
WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent has inspected the said highway and
has advised the Town Board that said proposed'highway complies in all
respects with the specifications for the dedication of highways in the
Town of Southold, ~ '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I~ RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section ~17t of
the Highway Law of the State of New York, consent be and ,the same is
given to the Superintendent of Highways to make an order laying out
the afroesaid highway to consist Of lands described in said a~pplication
as shown on certain maps attached to said application, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is auth-
orized and directed to forthwith cause the dedication, release and deed
to be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the County ~of Suffotk,~ N.Y.

igation duly made findings and determinations as required by law,

is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Town Board
the findings and determinations as required by law, and it is further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he-hereby is directed to issue

pipe-10 ft. lg; 8 pcs. of 30" dia. 16 ga. Connecting Bands; 1,000 lin.

on July 10, 1968, at 7:30 P.M. from Willow Hill intersection~down Main

to the Southold Fire Department to hold a parade on the above stated date.

A group of people living in the area developed by Mr. Ed. Nidds in
Bay View, Southold, appeared before the Town Board in relation to the
private roads in this development. The Board informed them that the
developer of a piece o~ property must meet the qualifications for
highways set by the Town before the highways, will be taken over and
maintained by the Town. If Mr. Nidds meets these qualifications, the
Town will be very-willing to take over a~d maintain the roads.
Mr. Paul Stoutenburgh appeared before the Town Board and sug.gested
the Board appoint an Advi~ary Council in relation to wetlands and
open area in the Town of Southold. The Town Board will study the~subject.
