There is no regularly schedule& method of transportation between Fishers Islan~ an/[ Long Island. The ~istrict was created to provide transpoetation of persons, vehicles ~and merchandise Between Fisherl~ Island an/[ points within and without the State across Long Islan~ Sound. At present the ~istrict operates a ferry between Fishers Island i~ew Lon/[on, Oonnecticut and leases an airfield on the island.
