The South01d Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Albert M.
Martocchia, at Greenport, New York, on March 11, 1969 with the

Clark and Edwards; Town Attorney Tasker; Superintendent~of Highways
Dean and Town Clerk Richmond. Absent:Councilman Valentine.

RESOLVED: That, the minutes of February 25, 1969, be and they hereby are
approved~ ~

RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board.will be held at the
office-of Supervisor Albert Martocchia, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y.
on March 25, 1969, at 3:0~ P.M.

RESOLVED: That the~reports of Supervisor ~artocchia, Building Inspector

stable and Town Clerk ~or the month of February 1969 be accepted by
the Tewn Board and~placed on file.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Martocchia be and he hereby is authorized to

RESOLVED: That the insurance on Mattituck Air Base Strip leased by the
Town of Southold be increased from One Million Dollars to Two Million
Dollars.

RESOLVED: That a One Hundred ($100.00) Dollar advertisement be purchased
to advertise the Town of Southold in the Southern ~ew.York State Fire-
men's Association Booklet.

RESOLVED: That the Police havs a Telephone Call Box placed in the vic-
inity of the outdoor Theatre on Route~25, west of Greenport Village.

RESOLVED: That a policeman-from the Southotd Town Police Force be
authorized to attend a Narcotic School, and that all necessar.y~-expe~ses
be a charge against the Town.

RESOLVED: That this Town Board recommends that the Fishers Island

WHEREAS, Southold American Legion Auxiliary G.T~G. Post ~803,. Southotd,
New York, applied to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License, and
W~EREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest-
igation duly made findings and determinations as required by ~la~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and~'h~ he~by~

RESOLVED: That the Town C~erk'be and he hereby zs directed to request
the Long Island Lighting Company to place 175 MVOH street light on
NYTCO pole ~25; remove light on pol~ ~24 and place 175 MV on Pole ~23;
replace lQ0. cp lights.with 175 MV on poles ~1 and 17; all on. Terry Lane,
Southo.ld, N.Y.. Also remove 100 cp light from NYTCO~poI~41 a~d .38
and replace with 175 MV on Wickham Avenue, Mattituck, New York.

WHEREAS, Minnie Wilson applied to the Town Clerk for a single'~trailer
renewal permit dated March 6, 1969,
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Minnie Wilson,
Middle Road, Cutchogue, N.Y. be and it hereby is granted for a period
of six (6) months.

RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $15,517.72; Highw~ Bills
in the amount of $9,308.82; Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the
amount of $11,264.17 and Lighting District Bills in the amount of
$4,204.07 be and the same are~hereby ordered paid.

RESOLVED: That Howard Terry, Buildin~ Inspector, and Raymond Dean,
Superintend~ent of Highways, be authorized to attend the Highway
Conference on April 8 and 9, 1969, and that the necessary expenses be
a legal Charge against the Town%

Letters were received from the following:
1.
Police Benevotent~s~ociation stating that Henry Stepnoski, yr., Theo-
dore Bokina, James Fitzpatrick and Stanley Droskoski had been appointed
as a Grievance Committee to negotiate with the Town Board.
2.
Ostrabrama Church., Depot Lane, Cutchogue, N.Y. asking that the roads
in front of ~he church be ~epai~ed.
3.
From Louis Lessard regarding a policeman. The Town Board has had an
investigation, the policeman has been reprimanded and the Town Board
has closed the matter. A letter will be written .to Mr.. Lessard.
The Traf'fic study on NO PARKING west 'of G~eenport was rejected by
the State Traffic Commission.
