MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 23, 1969. The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Albert M. Martocchia, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on September 23, 1969, with the following present: Supervisor Martocchia; Councilman Demarest; Justices Clark, Suter.and Edwards~ Town-Attorney Tasker; Superintendent of High~ys Dean and Town Clerk Richmond. Absent: Coqncilman Valen~tinel Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the~minutes off. the meeting of September 9, 1969, ~d the Special meeting~of ~eptember 19, 1969, be and they h~reby are _approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Martocchia; Councilman Demarest; Justices Clark, Suter and Edwards. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the office of Superv~or Albert Martocchia, 16 South Strees, Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, ~October 7, 1969, at 3:80 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; CQuncilman Demarest; Justices Clark, Suter and Edwards. Moved by Jusiice Surer; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the reports of Justice Suter and the Fishers Island Ferry District for the month of August, 1969, be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilman Demarest; Justices Clark; Suter and Edwards. Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Mattituck Fire Department be and hereby is authorized to place a Base Station Radio in the Southold Police Station Headquarters to be used for a Fire Alarm System for Mattituck, said equipment to be furnished by the Mattituck Fire Department. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilman Demarest; Justices Clark, Suter and Edwards. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, R. A. McCallum, Socony Mobil, was the lowest bidder for 300,000 gallons of gasoline (or as much as m~y be required), RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albert Martocchia be and he hereby is directed to enter into a contract with R. A. McCullum, Socony Mobil, for purchase of 300,000 gallons of special gasoline (or as much as is required) at the price of .1466 per gallon for the use of the Southold Police, Highway Department, and all other town cars, said contract for a period from October 1, 1969 to September t, 1970. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilman Demarest; Justices Clark, Suter and Edwards. ~oved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That a certain town highway, hereinafter designated has not been open~ or worked for more than six years last past, and that same has been abandoned by the publid, and is no longer used as a ~publ~c highway; to wit, the town highway at Cutchogue, in said town extending northerly from Case Road, known as SWAMP ROAD and bounded and described as follows: ALL that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Cutchogue, in the Town of Southold, County of Suffolk, State of New York, bonnded and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point marked by a concrete nnortherly monument on the northerly line of Case ~oad, 200.0 feet east- erly along said northerly line from its intersection ~ith the easterly line of Bay Road; running thence north 13 degrees 01 minutes 40 seconds east a distance of 224.75 feet to a point marked by a concrete monument and land now or formerly of the North Fork Country Club; runningi thence along land at last mentioned south 89° 42' 10" east a distance of 51.25 feet to a point marked by a concrete monument running thence south 13° 01' 40" west a distance of 236.05 feet to a point Marked by a concrete monument on the northerly line of Case Road (which point is 200.0 feet westerly along said northerly line from its intersection with the westerly line of Meadow Lane); running thence along said nOrtherly line of Case Road north 76© 58' 20" west to a concrete monument and the point or place of beginning. Fumther Resolved; 'That the undersigned members of the Town Board of the Town .of Southold, constituting a majority thereof, do hereby consent to the making and fi~ing of this certificate of Abandonment, and do hereby sign the same. Vote Of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest; Justices Clark,'Suter and Edwards. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board will approve a Bond of $15,000.00 as recommended by the Southold Planning Board for the completion of roads and other improvements ~in the sub-diviSion kno~n as "Calves Neck", in So~thold, N.Y. Vote of ~Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilm~n DemareSt; Justices Clark, Surer and Edwards. Mr. Trubenbach appeared before the Board to inquire about water districts. Two trailer application s were received and held for investigation and study. Mr. Olsen was present and requested that the trailer applications be acted'upon immediately, but no action was taken. - The Town Board meeting was recessed at 3:45 P.M. and reconven~d at 4:00 PM The Town ~ierk presented to the tow~ board detailed estimates of revenue and expenditures from the various Town Offices, Departments and Districts for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1970 pursuant to Section ~II of the Town Law. Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS~ W. Edgar Worthington has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated Sept. 15, 1969, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of W. Edgar Worthington to locate a single trailer on his property, Sound Avenue, Mattituck, N.Y. be and the same is granted for a six (6)month period. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Superv~ or Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest; Justices Clark; Suter; and Edwards. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Suter; WHEREAS, this Board has learned with deep sorrow Of the ~eath~of Vi~ctor J. Przepl6ra, Sr.,~ Motor Equipment Operator, Highway Department, Town of Southold, and ' WHEREAS', Victor J~ Przepiora, Sr. was a conscientious and faithful employee of the Town of Southold, NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby gives formal expression of its loss ~n the death of Victor J. Przepiora, Sr., and be it fur~er ~ ~ESOLVED: That when the Town Board adjourns this day, it do so out of respect to the memory of Victor J. Przepiora, Sr. and th~at a copy o~f this resolutio~ b~ tYansmitted to the 'family Of Victor J. Przepiora, Sr. that we may extend to them our s~ncere sympathy.
