It is Further Resolved that the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to
post and publish public notice of said hearing in accordance with applic-
able provisions of law.

MEETING OF JULY 15~ 1969
The Southold Town Board met at theooffice of the Supervisor, Albert
Martocchia,- Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, July 15, 196~ with the ~
following present: ~Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter; Town Attorney Tasker and Town
Clerk Richmond. Absent: Justice E. Perry Edwards.
Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest~
RESOLVED: That the minutes~of June 24, 1969~ and the Special 'meeting of
June 27, 1969, be and they hereby are approved.
Vote of Town Board:Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the

Force, the sum not to exceed $125.00.

to locate a single trailer on his property at Peconic, N.Y. be and hereby
is granted fora six (6) month period.

RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $9,248.80; Lighting District

WHEREAS, b~ resolution adopted by this Town Board on the~27th .d~y of.
June, 1969, a public hearing was authorized to be held in the mattqr of
the adoption of the "Traffic Ordinance"; and
WHEREAS:~ said hearing was held by the~Town Board-on the 15th da~dof July,
1969, at~hich time all interested persons were given an opportunity to
be heard, and
WHEREAS~ this Board deems it in the best interest of the Town of Southold
that the Southotd Town "Traffic Ordinance" be adopted:
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED: That the following Traffic Ordinance be
adopted by the Southold Town Board:
By'Amending the~Traffic Ordinance of the Town of Southold as follows:
1. By amending Article V, Section 2 of the Traffic Ordinance of the
Town of Sou~hold, by adding the following subdivisions thereto, to wit:
7, On both sides of Bay Avenue at Mattituck from the southerly
terminus thereof at Peconic Bay northerly to the south curb
line of~Peconic Bay Boulevard, during the hours of 10:00 P~M.
to 7:00 A~M.
8. On the west side of Marratooka Lane from the souther!y terminus
thereof at Peconic Bay northerly to the south curb line of ~ark
Avenue.
9. On both sides Of Bay Avenue at Cutchogue from the eaS'terly
terminus thereof at Peconic Bay westerly for a distance'of ~150
feet, during the hours of lO:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.
10. On both sides of Nassau Point Road at Cutchgoue from the westerly
terminus thereof at Peconic Bay easterly for a distance of 170 feet,

11. On both sides of Haywaters Road at Cutchogue from the westerly terminus

14. On both sides of Lighthouse Road at Southold fr®m the guardrail
at the northerly terminus thereof southerly for a distance of 200

terminus thereof at Peconic Bay northerly to the south curb line of

Mrs. Tuthill.appeared before the Board requesting information on the Marina
at ~ull Pond. A few names were added to the petition against such a marina.
Mr. Trautman inquired on the progress of Open Housing.
~esidents of Rocky Point Road request the stairs to be replaced at the
end of Rock~y Point Road. The Town Board will investigate.
A petition was re.ceived from Peconic Inlet residents requesting that
the beach be.restricted to residents only.
