HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-06/27/1969-S178 SPECIAL MEETING OF JUNE 27, 1969 We, the undersigned, being members of the Town Board 0f.the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waive~notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting of the Town Board to be held at Greenport, New York, in the Town-of Southold, New York, on Friday, June 27, 1969, and do hereby consent that the~same be held on said date for the transaction 6f any business which may properly come before said meeting. Richmond, Town Clerk Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justi~ce Clark; WHEREAS, this board deems it in the apublic interest that ~the Traffic Ordinance of the Town of Southotd be amended to restrict parking of vehicles in certain designated .locations in the town as hereinafter provided, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing be held by this board on the 15th day of July, 1969 at 7 o'clock P.M. at the iSupervisor's Office, 16 South Street, 8reenport,, New York in th~ matter of amending the Traffic Ordinance of the Town of Southold as follows: 1. By amending~Article V, Section 2 of the Traffic Ordinance of the Town of Southold~ by adding the ~f&llowing subdivisions thereto, to wit: 7. On both sides of Bay Avenue at Mattituck from the southerly 'terminus thereof at Peconic Bay northerly to ~the south~curb line of Peconic Bay Boulevard, during the hours ~from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 8. On the ,west side of Marratooka.Lane from the southerly terminus thereof at~Peconic Bay northerly to the south curb line of Park Avenue. 9. On both-sides of Bay Avenue at Cutchogue from the easterly terminus, thereof at Peconic Nay westerly for a distance of 150 feet, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 10. On both sides of Nassau Point Road at~Cutchogue from the westerly terminus thereof at Peconic Bay easterly for a distance of 170 feet, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 11. On both sides of Haywaters Road at Cutchogue from the westerly terminus thereof at Peconic Bay easterly for a distance of 230 feet, during the hours ofrom 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 12. On both sides of North Bay View Road at Southold for a distance of 450 feet easterly and westerly from the center line of Goose Creek Bridge. 13. On both sides of Pine Neck Road at Southold from the easterly terminus thereof at Peconic Bay westerly to the easterly curb l~ne of North Bay View Road, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 14. On both sides of Lighthouse Road at Southold from the guardrail at the northerly terminus thereof southerly for a distance of 200 feet, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 15. On both sides of Town Harbor Lane at Southold from the southerly terminus thereof a't Peconic Bay northerly to the south curb line of Terry Lane, during the hours from 10:00 . P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 16. On both sides of Sound Avenue at Greenport from the guardrail at the northerly terminus thereof southerly to the the north curb line of Sound Drive, during the hours ~rom 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 17. On both sides of Manhanset Avenue at Greenport from the south- erly terminus thereof at Peconic Bay northerly to the south curb line of Inlet Lane and the public parking lot adjacent thereto, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.~. 18. On both sides of Rocky Point Road at East Marion from the guard- rail~-at the northerly terminus t~ereof southerly to the north curb line of Aquaview Road, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. · 19. On both sides of Youngs Road at Orient from the guardrail at the northerly terminus thereof southerly for a distance of 265 feet, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.. 20. On both sides of Sound Drive at Greenport from the northerly terminus thereof southerly for a distance of 150 feet, during the hours from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 21.- On' the north side of Whistl%r Avenue at Fishers Island from the easterly terminus thereof westerly for a distance of 500 feet, during the hours from 7:30 P.M. to 11:30 ~.M. It is Further Resolved that the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to post and publish public notice of ~said hearing in accordance with applic- able provisions of law. Town Clerk MEETING OF JULY 15~ 1969 The Southold Town Board met at theooffice of the Supervisor, Albert Martocchia,- Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, July 15, 196R, with the ~ following present:-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Absent: Justice E. Perry Edwards. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the minutes of June 24, 1969~ and the Special meeting of June 27, 1969, be and they hereby are approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter. Moved-by Councilman Valentine; seconded ~ Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Albert Martocchia, 16 south Street, Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, Jul~ 29, 1969, at 3:00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes- upervisor Martocchia; councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices cIark and Surer. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine; RESOLVED: That ~he re~orts of Supervior Martocchia, Building InsRector Terry~ Police, Bay Constable, Justice Suter and Town Clerk Richmond.for the month of June, 1969, be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Mov%'d by Councilman Valentine'; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board accept a Bond of $42,500 as recommended by the southold Town. Planning:Board for the completion of roads, daainage and requirements for improvements in the Sub-Division known as HARVEST HOMES ESTATES, Section l, ~outhold, N.Y. owned ~y Mary Grigonis. ~ _ Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor-Martocchia; ouncilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded'by Jusiice Suter;~se WtIEREAS, the Senior Citizens, Southotd Town, request the ~ of four (4) buses-for transportation to Westbury, N~Y~~, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town of Southold furnish trans- portation for the senior Citizens as requested.
